Staying at the Benteng Hotel in Pekanbaru was a nightmare. From the start, it was uncomfortable. There was a long check-in queue, only one unfriendly staff member served. Requests submitted via the app (connecting rooms to the children's rooms) were not responded to. Even requests for adjacent rooms were denied. At 2:30 a.m., the power went out and the generator broke down. Repairs were promised in 15 minutes, but they weren't completed for over two hours. No engineer arrived; only security and administration staff worked to fix the generator, offering no assurances. Many hotel guests checked out before dawn due to the darkness, stuffiness, heat, crying children, etc. There was no refund or compensation. They were simply told they could check out an hour late. The staff were extremely unhelpful, and the owner or responsible manager never showed up. Breakfast was also awful, lacking in variety, like breakfast at a roadside stall. I will never stay at that hotel again.

The facilities should be improved, if possible, replaced with new ones... The service is not fast enough... The generator is off for a long time... Breakfast is not good... Very disappointed... There is no compensation, I'm sorry!!!!
