The staff was friendly, check-in was easy, and it was close to everything. There were plenty of food vendors on both sides, and by the way, there's also a minimart in the hotel. I'll be back again.

We have stayed at this hotel many times because the service is good, the rooms are clean, the surrounding area has many culinary places and it is also in the city center.

The hotel is old but the staff are friendly, but the downside is that you only get one key to the room.

The room rate excludes tax and a foreign exchange fee (12 ringgit). If you book directly with them, you won't be charged tax or a foreign exchange fee. However, if you book directly with them, the room rate is 180 ringgit. That's per day. Even if you stay for seven days, that's 12 ringgit times 7, just for the tax and foreign exchange fee. That's insane. The room isn't that comfortable, though. There are no extra amenities besides the room and the pool. There aren't many TV channels either.

Initially, I only stayed for 1 night, but because it felt comfortable, I ended up staying at this hotel for 5 days 🤭

Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is close to Penang's Fast Food Restaurant, there are so many side dishes to choose, free soup, tea and mineral water too. At night, there is a small truck which sells herbal Chinese drinks. Hawkers night market and food courts are just a few meters from the hotel; Penang Avenue Mall is just 1km more or less. Last but not least, in durian season the side of the road is filled with durian sellers.

Friendly staff, a great choice for those looking for a spacious room, strategic location close to Komtar, fun for exploring culinary delights, and a free swimming pool 😊. However, I think cleanliness could be better.
