First time in Sukabumi, I was looking for a homey, affordable place to stay because I was only staying for one night. The app rating was 4.9 and the website rating was 8.3 for a 3-star hotel, but on Google, the rating was 4.3 and it said it was a 2-star hotel. I don't know which one is correct, considering the hotel ratings and reviews. The price I paid for a room was 515,000 Rupiah with breakfast.
Overall, I wasn't satisfied with the price and the amenities I received:
1. All the rooms felt like smoking rooms; none of them were clean and smoke-free. When asked if they were smoking-friendly, the answer was "anything goes," even though we were looking for a non-smoking room. So, upon entering, we checked each room, and the better ones reeked of cigarette smoke.
2. The hot water wouldn't stay on. I don't know if the water heater, which only holds a few liters and then refills it, or if it was faulty, so when it first started to heat up, it went straight to normal/cold water.
3. The Wi-Fi, oh my God. The signal was intermittent, so you had to pay for your own TV streaming.
4. There was no local TV in the room. If you wanted to watch TV, you could do it outside, while inside the room, you could only access Netflix and YouTube using your own signal. Once again, the Wi-Fi was intermittent.
5. The blanket had a hole in it from a cigarette butt; I don't know why it wasn't replaced with a better or neater one.
6. Breakfast was delivered to the room, but all you received was fried rice and hot, plain tea.
7. The room and bathroom weren't completely clean. They looked clean, but there was still dust, cigarette butts in the bathroom.
8. There was a swimming pool, but it turned out there was no water; it was probably no longer in use.
Pros of this hotel:
1. Homey
2. Friendly Receptionist
3. Easy Access
Besides, there's still a lot to improve for the price.
