I was very disappointed with my stay at Innside Yogyakarta, but I was also pleased with the service from the entire staff at Innside by Meliá. Here's my explanation:
1. I was disappointed with the "The Innside With Terrace" room type on the 3rd and 2nd floors, as it turned out all of them were occupied by smoking guests. I had expected a more expensive room type to offer better comfort.
My suggestion is to change the room name to "The Innside With Terrace - Smoking" so that guests like me are not deceived. And please improve the room size, as it is actually the same as the non-terrace room type.
2. After being forced to stay in a smoking room for one night, I was finally moved to the 2nd floor, which was promised to be a non-smoking room. But once again, I was lied to. The room still smelled of cigarettes in the bathroom, although the smell was not as strong as in the previous room.
3. The bathroom in the room on the 2nd floor was designed oddly without considering the comfort of the guests staying in the room.
a. The bathroom door is asymmetrical, causing the door and glass wall to clash (photo attached).
b. The bathroom concept is open, but the toilet door doesn't fully open from top to bottom, so when guests defecate, the smell permeates the entire bedroom, and when flushing, the water makes a loud noise that enters the room (photo attached).
c. The bathroom floor isn't leveled properly, causing water to overflow (photo attached).
4. Appreciation - I appreciate the very friendly service from the entire Innside team during my stay.
In conclusion, management needs to address the building's construction defects to prevent future damage to Melia's reputation.
Thank you.
