I had an unsatisfactory experience at Haku Hotel, Vung Tau and would like to share a few points of note for those who intend to book a room here.
1. Regarding check-in procedures: Even though I arrived on time for check-in, I still had to wait nearly 30 minutes to check in because the staff had not had time to clean up because the guest checked out late (???). This is a big minus point in terms of preparation and professionalism in welcoming guests.
2. Hygiene and facilities: The room I was initially given (room 505) was in poor hygiene, especially the strong musty smell from the walls, causing discomfort. When I requested to change rooms, I received dishonest feedback from the staff that there were no more rooms, but after going directly to the reception, the problem was resolved. This is a serious loss of trust.
3. Unprofessional operation: I found that cleaning and transporting towels and bed sheets were done in an unhygienic manner when placed directly on the elevator floor. In addition, the fact that there is only one elevator and it is often occupied by housekeeping staff to store things has caused guests to wait a long time, affecting the overall experience.
4. Price: Room rates on weekends here are pushed up many times higher than normal days, but the quality of service and facilities are not commensurate.
With the above experiences, I feel very disappointed in the service attitude and lack of concern of the hotel management for the facilities. I will not return and advise everyone to consider carefully before choosing, especially stay away from room 505.
