Wonderful small resort hotel with impeccably clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful service, and great food and drinks in the on-site restaurant. A lovely and relaxing place to spend a few days. Looking forward to visiting again later this year!

So glad I messed up our travel dates so we had an extra day/night here. SO peaceful and beautiful. Mai was a welcoming and gracious host. It is just outside of town - easily walkable - but we really liked just enjoying the tranquil surroundings. Perfect place to stay before our 2 day cruise on the Mekong. And the food was outstanding! Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at Baan Sakuna. The owners (the family) are so friendly and sweet and accommodating. The views from the property are spectacular. We enjoyed a drink on their terrace and delicious meals. This is the right place to go if you're looking for a peaceful stay at the northern Thai border.

A 5* service at this fabulous hotel. We were made so welcome as soon as we stepped out of the tuk tuk and the owners are the best. The room (upgraded) was a beautiful suite and dinner and breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. You can believe all the good reviews and we’d definitely stay again.

Highly recommend this to anyone. Fabulous service, genuinely kind people Fabulous food, best I had in Thailand Lovely clean rooms. We’re just sad it was only one night but what an amazing find for a stopover before the slow boat to Laos. Approx 20 mins from the border. Do not hesitate, it’s perfect!

The hotel was wonderful and clean. Nicest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel, especially "Neck". He was always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door. Highly recommend.

Absolutely enjoyed staying at Baan Sakuna for 3 days/2 nights! It's a beautiful property with large, clean rooms. The owner is extremely helpful with suggestions, arrangements, etc. Located in a quiet neighborhood with easy walking options to the Mekong River. The restaurant serves wonderful coffee, breakfasts and dinners. Very pleasant and relaxing!! Looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Wow, wow, wow! We were pleasantly surprised by this gem of a hotel in Chiang Khong where we stayed before our river cruise to Luang Prabang, Laos. The entire property is new and modern construction and the owner, Mai, did not miss one detail from the beautiful and comfortable chairs to the napkins. The views are gorgeous, the food is delicious (hands down the best curry I have had, kudos to her sister-in-law), and the place and host are beyond amazing. We especially enjoyed chatting with Mai about all sorts of topics. We wish we could have stayed another night. Don’t even research anymore, just book here!

This place is amazing! The room was spacious, clean and the bed was so comfortable! The staff was so friendly and helpful! The million dollar view was incredible! The food was very good too and we loved that there was a restaurant right there. The only negative thing was that we couldn’t stay longer!

This hotel was amazing. Like others have said, we already dream about returning, but staying for a longer time. Grocery store/small mall are only a 12-15 minute walk away. Mai and her partner are well-traveled people, so they know what guests are needing. Highly recommend this paradise.
