During the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday, I stayed at Alba for 3 days and 2 nights and had an extremely bad experience. The hotel has a policy that valuables should be left at the reception desk; if lost in the room, the hotel is not responsible. This wouldn't have been a problem if, at 8 am while I was still asleep, a cleaning staff member hadn't knocked twice on my door and entered my room without me even swiping my card before I could answer, even though I hadn't requested a cleaning. Afterward, I called the reception desk to complain, but received no apology or respect. They only said they would record my complaint and that it was the hotel's policy that if there wasn't a "Do Not Disturb" sign, the cleaning staff would clean the room automatically. I asked, "What if my valuables were lost while the cleaning staff entered my room?" They replied that the hotel would not be responsible. This is completely unreasonable. Because it was the Lunar New Year, I had a lot of cash with me, and I needed cash for expenses, so why would I leave it at the reception desk? When I brought my things to my room, someone else automatically swiped my card without my consent, and the hotel refused to take responsibility. This is the first time I've seen a 5-star hotel with such poor staff attitude and rules. Furthermore, I've never seen such rigid service staff; when I arrived 5 minutes late for the breakfast buffet, they informed me that I was already 5 minutes late, even though there were other guests and the buffet line was still open, but they refused to serve me. I didn't complain about that because I was late, but in previous 5-star resorts I've stayed at, the staff were always happy to serve me as usual. I will never return for such a terrible experience at a supposedly 5-star resort.
