The check-in/out process is too long, the queue flow is unclear, so it piles up in the lobby (there seems to be a difference in service for local and foreign guests), for the staff, personal grooming and greeting are lacking, especially the front office and restaurant staff. They work like bank staff, with a serious face, the check-in process while sitting in my opinion makes the process too slow. When I had breakfast, I greeted one of the restaurant staff, wow, his face was very serious, like he was working under pressure. We waited for the buggy for a very long time, maybe more than an hour. It seems there is a problem with the employee's work performance. But the room and facilities are very good.

This resort could use a makeover as the furniture is quite worn out. The bathroom also had an unpleasant odor, and the breakfast was mediocre with limited variety.

Montigo is one of my to-go resort in Batam, the distance is abit far away from the Batam ferry center and closer to nongsapura ferry center. I went from Batam center and took around 35mins of gojek ride to reach, which is quite acceptable distance away. (Tip: Go to Mega Mall lobby B to call for your gojek or grab to bring u there) The view is awesome as it's next to the beach, the customer service employees are friendly and helpful. I booked deluxe villa was booked and it is spacious with a private pool, and Netflix is available in the TV! wifi connection, aircon is strong too. Downside is outside of the room mosquitoes are aplenty, but mosquito repellent and insecticide is provided in the room for you to use. Try not to open your doors for too long to prevent them from coming into the room. Communication is by WhatsApp to the CS but sometimes they might miss out on your request and will need to repeat to remind them if it doesn't come. For example my bathrobe was collected for washing and they didn't give me any for replacement, had to text twice, but it's just a small hiccup. There are quite some food options in the resort itself and full activities, they are mostly payable on the spot by visa/mastercards or your room deposit, however do note that the price is not cheap, esp food restaurants. Do check out their massage wellness village too. Overall a nice and cosy stay, would recommend.

Spent a 4D3N stay here in the resort. Amazing place for my wife, baby & me as we had everything we needed here in the resort. The staff were very accommodating and kind with their excellent service. Special mention for Balqis, Irma, Fauziah & Yoga from Tadd's. The entire ecosystem functions very well here. The bugee would come & pick us to send us anywhere. The staff would then receive us at the restaurant or activity room. Housekeeping is also punctual & excellent at what they do. We had the in-villa dining & BBQ (highly recommended btw). All in all, we really enjoyed our stay & would recommend it to others thinking of a get-away-just-stay-in-the-resort-type-of-staycation here.

4x stay here, the villa is spacious and clean. The view is nice. It is very unfortunate that the 4th experience of the front office named "Angela" was very rude and spoke rudely. Not worthy of being a front office. Has no attitude. And the water is small + electricity is out. The buggy staff is kind and friendly.
