Great hotel for stay over a bit dated but clean and comfortable staff very friendly and helpful Great bar and outdoor space and dog friendly breakfast was really good and the lady server was very nice overall a lovely stay. definitely recommend

This the second time I’ve stayed at Dalgair House Hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay a third if I’m in the area again. My single room was spacious, bed comfy and the bathroom properly sized for an adult human being! The hot water for the shower was also genuinely hot, a sometimes overlooked basic!

Hotel conveniently located on the high street, with car parking around the back, and free street parking at the front. Rooms 6 and 8 were spacious with large double beds and good amenities, however the decor and furniture in the bedrooms and en suites was a bit tired and in need of doing up or replacing, and being cleaned more thoroughly. The downstairs restaurant looked to have a good menu, but we chose to have an Indian next door (very good!) and the hotel’s breakfast menu and service was very good and plentiful.

Much character, good hard working staff, great breakfast. Shower doors and door locks need attention. Many locals at the bar is always a good sign.

Bathroom was very dirty, especially the toilet. Room wasn't clean at all.

This was my 3rd brief stay.Each time,I have been welcomed & made to feel my visit matters to reception & waiting & bar staff. The room is chosen to protect me from the live music in the bar ,as I have requested .The rooms are very clean even if the carpet is a bit well -trodden.As a woman on my own, I have felt comforted by the friendly & helpful attitudes of everyone i have come across during my stays. It's so handy for the Main St shops & parking has been easy & nearby.Breakfast is generous & freshly cooked to order.The heating system is very effective.The shower room pleasant with plentiful hot water. I will be back .

The bed was comfortable enough, but it is an older facility and could use some TLC. There is black mold in the bathroom. Convenient location and the breakfast is good.

I don’t know if all the rooms were the same, but I’m especially grateful to Marnie for giving me a brilliant room. All the space I needed with a shower that had hot water that was properly hot. Included a great breakfast. I’d definitely stay again if/when in the area.

On arriving the Dalgair house hotel , there is no front house reception to greet you , zId eventually found a bar person to asked how I can check in he took my name and he give me keys to the room, the room is comfortable, but thats where it stops, bathroom was not clean looking as the walls curtains and showers was ridden with heavy black moulds , no heating in bedroom nor bathrooms probably is why theres heavy mildew problems, no proper ventilation in bathroom, staff were very friendly. I must recommend gregs bistro is where you go for breakfast and evening meals food is good ,good drinks all serve with a smile . There a off-road parking spaces behind hotel . The hotel is situated on a main streets good selection of shops cafes and restaurants

I stayed here for one night after visiting the Kelpies. Friendly people and I enjoyed the bar.

The room was clean and tidy staff friendly and easy parking but still only a stop over hotel for a couple of nights maximum

Lovely welcome from staff and I had a lovely quiet room so no issues there. Breakfast was lovely.

Room a bit tierd could do with redecorating black mould visable on bathroom ceiling paint peeling on sink shelf plug socket broke next to tv and could do with a new mattress in the room we stopped in ok for a quick stop over but wouldn't recommend more than a couple of nights

Depends what room you get. Our room had a tired bathroom, the door did not even shut, WiFi didn't work in our area. Towels and bedding were tired. Breakfast was ok and staff were friendly.

Room was very spacious, although it could benefit from an update. I was in room 2, which unfortunately is directly above the busy smoking area, so I could not open the windows, and it was noisy at times.

Bed was comfortable. Duvet was too heavy. As i tried to sleep music started below me and kept going for a few hours. Then there was a dog barking. Took a while to get hot water in the shower.
