The room was spacious and the staff was very helpful and nice. Breakfast was good. There are several cars on the property that are very friendly. They make a lot of noise at night.

Hotel is beautiful, clean, pool and common areas are very neat. View of the city from the hotel and pool are amazing. Location feels safe and quiet. The location is a bit far from the airport and central San José. I wish the staff would have been more courteous and welcoming and the breakfast could have been a bit better.

Great location. Real quiet and very nice outdoors

We had such an amazing experience at Posada el Quijote. Prior to arrival, Fernando helped us secure a great deal on a car rental with a company that was conveniently able to do pickup/drop-off at the hotel for no extra charge. The property is a beautiful old private home that has been converted to a boutique hotel with tons of character. Our room was very quiet, daily freshly prepared breakfast was delightful, the pool was lovely, and all staff were fantastic. Fernando was super helpful in assisting us find alternative accommodations when we unexpectedly needed to extend our stay in San Jose as Quijote was fully booked. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to San Jose!

Very much enjoyed our stay!

We had a nice big room and we loved the pool area, which came with a stunning view. Breakfast was also great. On the less positive side, we found our bed was creaky and hard, the shower had cold water, and we had a lot of flies around our room. Also, the staff member who checked us in wasn’t very forthcoming with information.

Kind and helpful staff. They surprised us with an upgraded room, which was very spacious and clean. Delicious breakfast made to order, with some unique options on their menu. Beautiful views of the city and there was hot water in the shower. The only negative during our stay was a loud noise all throughout the night - we think the wind was maybe blowing a tree that was hitting against our roof? Overall good stay.

The service was prompt and courteous, room was spotless, bed was perfect, air conditioning made a perfect nights sleep. The hotel was well designed along a hilltop with gorgeous views of San Jose in a quiet neighborhood from all the rooms and lobby. Art accents added personality. Wish I had time to dip in the pool overlooking the city. Breakfast was delightful. Can’t say enough positive about Posada El Quixote! Definitely would return.

The front desk person was extremely helpful and nice. The property is gorgeous with amazing views of the city both night and day. Lovely breakfast offerings. Great stay!

My wife and I stayed here for one night before flying out of SJO. The property is beautiful and the views from the pool and living room are incredible both day and night. The property is in a great location and the history behind it is really interesting. There are a few friendly cats that live on the property (one of them hung out under the pool chairs we were sitting on). The free, made to order breakfast was delicious and quick. The only minor inconvenience we had was that the manual gates to enter the parking area were closed and it was unclear whether we were expected to keep them closed after entering/leaving the property

We had a lovely stay! Nice room, beautiful views day and night, sweet local kitties, delicious breakfast included, kind staff - everything was wonderful! The photos do not do it justice - highly recommend

We were there only for a night l, wish to stay there longer in future. It was just perfect for very first night of our Costa Rican vacation. View from bedroom was amazing. Throughly enjoyed the breakfast they served.

First impressions was “what have I got us into”! Location was not near much and not nearly what was depicted in photos. Booked a Superior Garden view that was in the basement but did have a walkout patio that was dirty and under water. Maids only cleaned when requested. Breakfast was minimal and tasteless. On the positive side the city view from the top floor was spectacular!
