We were staying in Dubrovnik but had planned to have one overnight trip to Lumbarda via Korcula to explore the region. When we landed off the boat taxi in Korcula, we initially wondered why we had bothered, as it seemed like sleepy town, but once we had had a coffee and ice cream, and been picked up by Ksenija, our host, and whisked to our spotless apartment with wonderful views of the town and the bay, treated to local wine, bread and cheese, we quickly warmed to the place. We hired bikes and were able to explore the vicinity, with its sandy beaches, and excellent and reasonably priced restaurants. Next day we hired Kayaks for half the Dubrovnik price, and explored the adjacent islands, with cafes, Monastery and wild deer. We really enjoyed the break from amazing but expensive and crowded Dubrovnik, and would base ourselves here in future, and do the overnight trip to Dubrovnik instead! Korcula was really good also(like a mini Dubrovnik)..

The apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The view from the balcony was every bit as stunning as in the picture. There is no air conditioning, just a fan, but when we went in mid-September this was not a problem as there was a breeze cooling the apartment down. The host could not have been more welcoming and helpful. She gave us lots of tips about the local area. It is slightly outside the main town of Lumbarda but only a ten minute walk to the beach and the same to the supermarket. The bus stop for Korcula Town is five minutes away. The apartment is in a beautiful, peaceful location and made for a wonderful holiday.

Vi har en jättebra vistelse, Marija och hennes mamma är fantastiska, väldigt hjälpsamma och trevliga. Läget på boendet är jättebra, nära till allt.

My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. We wanted some much needed rest and we really got what we were looking for. The vieuw was amazing 😍 long walks, beaches and good food nearby. The owners really are sweethearts. Very helpful with whatever we needed. They really took good care of us especially because i had just found out that I'm pregnant and the day of arrival i was very sick. It really felt like family away from home. We are definitely comming back!

Lejligheden er virkelig dejlig med en skøn altan. Marija er den bedste vært, der tog godt imod os og fortalte lidt om Lumbarda. Lejligheden har dog ikke aircondition. Vi var der i august, og det gjorde det en smule svært at slappe af (og sove om natten), da lejligheden var rigtig varm.
