To be honest I was a bit sceptical about this place first as there aren’t enough photos. However, I took a chance and it turned out to be the best place I could’ve imagined. I was there on a holiday in Goa in November with my wife and neither of us were looking for the typical North Goa stuff. Anantra was THE perfect destination for us. We got picked up from the Airport on time and were received by Mr Rohit; a gentleman of a person. We stayed at the Sea Facing Villa. The Arabian Sea was hardly sixty metres from our doorstep it was that amazing. We could enjoy the waves from our room, the restaurant or the sitting area on the beach itself. There was absolute peace. No loud music. No sound of horns and the beach was clean apart from an occasional dog which would run around for shade in the scorching sun. To sum it up. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay with nothing but the waves, the ocean, the beautiful sunset then you must visit here. Will definitely visit again. Thank you Anantra for the beautiful memories.

For all intents and purposes Anantra was a pleasurable stay - hot water, good WiFi and great location. HOWEVER our particular room was raised, normally this would be fine but during the night, windy moments of when other guests used the walkways the whole structure very clearly swayed, waking us up at times and certainly left us feeling a little nervous All in all a good and simple place to stay at the relaxed end of Agonda beach but the structure really needs some more support?l!

Very comfortable rooms with very nice marble floors, mahogany colonial furniture and redone baths with hot water and tubs. Great place to « recharge. My only complaint is that the area around their beautiful and spotlessly clean swim Pool needs to be cleaned up after monsoon damaged, and adjacent changing/shower rooms reopened. Loved the resto amd the Ayurvedic massage. A great value and a real treat.

Great location away from crowds. Plentiful restaurants to choose from along beach. Hotel left us confused. Lovely room, location and management of resort was very welcoming and helpful. Room was only cleaned and fresh towels supplied if requested at front desk which was new to us but not an issue...if you asked it happened. The only thing that let this hotel down were the staff around the bar/restaurant area, largely uninterested, bordering on rude and very different to everyone else we met in Agonda. The food and drinks were lovely but felt like you'd put them out by asking for it. We couldn't understand it but from what we understand the rooms and bar/restaurant are managed separately, unsure whether owned separately but a stark difference between the two. I wouldn't let this put you off though other friendly bars and restaurants serving excellent food are in abundance. As little as a 10 yard walk. We would definitely stay in Agonda and this hotel again. Lack of shade on sunbeds was bit of an issue but all seats and tables were sheltered. Also if your not keen on dogs, bats or cows then you might want to avoid South Goa altogether
