Good clean property with decent air con, and very helpful staff. Great location in Kandy close to main attractions. Quality of hotel quite basic but good given the budget price, didn’t have any food so can’t comment on this. Would go back again especially if wanting a more budget option in Kandy.

This hotel is well situated in the city but is Spartan in the extreme. Literally one tiny bar of soap. Tired and damaged fittings and soft coverings. Wifi dial-up speeds.

Perfect place to stay while in Kandy for two nights. We’re a couple from Sweden staying in Kandy for a couple of nights before heading to Ella. Ceyloni staff were very friendly and service minded which made our stay great. Breakfast was also great with local dishes as well as omelette, fruits etc. Good sized rooms (normal) with a balcony. And good restaurants within 1-5 minutes walking. All in all there’s nothing at all to complain about.

A good value hotel; clean and modern within the city centre yet quiet within the rooms. The staff were exceptional and very polite. On the last day they offered us complimentary breakfast as we had booked 3 nights with them, which was a credit to how kind Sri Lankan people are.

Very good value for money. English is spoken. Clean and new room, air conditioning working very well. Helpful staff, the younger guy helped us orginise the taxi to next destination and suggested couple of good stops on the way and the best driver we had during our 2-week trip in Sri Lanka. The neighbourhood is nothing special, but is central enough and therefore close to everything important. I would happily go back.

Great service at Ceyloni City Hotel!! They managed to find me a reserved train ticket to Ella for the day after I arrived (which I had tried to order online before my trip but was told they were all sold out). The room was very clean and comfortable, with excellent air conditioning. Bathroom was also clean and modern. And breakfast was great too. Location was very convenient - a short walk to the Temple of the Tooth, the lake and the Clock Tower bus station.

Pictures didn't really match the room, but staff was amazing. They were friendly, professional, and very helpful.

Nice breakfast (eggs coffee toast fruit), a bit of road noise, but that is expected as it is a busy city, good service, very genuine employees, ice cold A/C, English TV choices, decent wifi, overall a great stay.

It was newly built and was very clean and nice. The room was spacious and the air conditioning was really good too. Breakfast was fresh, lovingly prepared by the friendly staff which was consisted of omelette, toast, yoghurt and fresh fruit. everything was lovely and I really enjoyed the stay. Wifi was great too.

This place should not be place in Orbitz, I usually trust what's on Orbitz. But, this hotel is nowhere close to the standards of a hotel. It doesn't have a parking facilities guests (I still wonder what kind of hotel is this?) and you have to park on road, which is not available during night (good luck finding a safe parking spot). I had my room in 4th floor, which I had to take staircase ALL the time. This hotel doesn't have a working elevator. I highly regret choosing this place over many other good hotels in Kandy.

Overall an excellent stay. Reception staff vey friendly and helpful. Even managed to help us get train tickets which are like gold dust so appreciate their help. Convenient location and easily walkable to Buddah Tooth Relic temple
