The staff were very helpful and informative, the services and amenities in the hotel were well maintained and presented. The sento was wonderful to soak in at the end of each day of walking for hours! The room was comfortable and spacious, and with the hotel so close to the Kyoto station, everything felt very accessible.

Clean hotel with onsen service Even if check-in is done through an automatic machine But there are employees nearby to take care of you. Always helping There are no water bottles provided in the room. But you can come down and get water from the water dispenser below the hotel at any time. The accommodation is closer to Kujo Station than Kyoto Station, but you can walk to both stations. There is a luggage storage service both before check-in and after check-out. Very good. If I have a chance to go back to Kyoto again, I will stay at this hotel.

The hotel room is fine. Pretty normal, basic amenities provided and clean. But the staff at the counter was incredibly rude. It was a man probably in his 30s, wearing spectacles. My friend and I walked in with our heavy luggages and wanted to check in and he didn't bother acknowledging us when we approached the counter. Seeing that there is a self-check in machine (pretty common in Japan nowadays), we attempted to do it on our own. But atlas we struggled and struggled because we didn't understand which option to choose (there were 4 options to check in) and chose the wrong one time and again. Finally we looked towards him for help and called out to him. He gave out an exasperated sigh and shouted crudely"use your name". Luckily I remembered which name I used for the booking because I was looking at the reservation email couple of hours earlier (I have 4 names and not all websites accept all names sometimes) otherwise it would have been yet another struggle if I used my full/wrong name (I booked this hotel so many months ago, I forgot which name was used). So I tried what was in the email and it was successful. Nice. But as per all hotel foreigner check in procedures, they needed to scan our passport. So I put my passport for scanning at the scanner when prompted by the machine. The machine said"loading"for a long time, like a minute or so, so I held my passport there for the whole duration. I didn't think that was wrong, but for some reason this man was so annoyed at me for doing that, he clicked his tongue, gestured with annoyance and nagged at me"remove the passport!"And I was SO confused because the screen was still"loading, please wait". But right after he did all that, the screen changed so I put away my passport. Then, after checking in, of course we wanted to head up to our room. But we couldn't find the lift. Lugging our heavy luggages all over the reception area, to the back (all I could see was the onsen area), back outside into the cold (it was 5 ° c that night; We thought perhaps the lift might be outside), to the restaurant area, to the toilet area, nope. We couldn't find the lift anywhere and lugged our heavy luggages everyday for like 5 or 10 mins or so, and his guy just watched all that happening and did not bother showing us the way at all. In the end we finally found a floor map near the onsen area and discovered it on our own. Overall extremely traumatising and unpleasant experience. Secondly, there is a public onsen bath in this hotel. Sounded & looked great after our whole day of travelling and we wanted to have a good soak to relax our sore muscles. Again, amenities were provided and great, but the onsen water itself is like just hot water. Usually there are minerals and nutrients inside onsen baths and they appear murky and you can't see anything in the water, but this one seemed like just plain hot water and you can see everyone 's genitals clear as day. There were also nasty stuff floating in the water. My friend and I were so uncomfortable and disgusted that we didn't even soak for more than a minute. Free ice cream provided daily was nice though.

We are so grateful we choose this hotel as our accommodation in Kyoto! Not too far from Kyoto Station, made our trip very accessible. And it's very near with bus stop that go directly to several tourist attractions. They have a very good amenities and entertainment. They provide flat iron, cable, and adaptor. Good thing they also have comic from Conan to one piece quite a lot for guest. Onsen is clean and comfortable. Overall it was a good stay!
