The staff. She had such a sour expression towards my girlfriend when we asked for a vacuum. Honestly it was quite crazy to see how rude someone could be. Otherwise the stay itself was okay.

The staff and breakfast were both very good, and the bathroom with the large tub was great, but the reason for the low score is that the hotel is right in front of bars and clubs which play loud music until the wee hours, so not a place to book if you would like to sleep.

Pros: Polite staff, great neighborhood, lots of small restaurants to eat in. Cons: We could hear other people's footsteps above our room.

깨끗하고 친절하고 다 좋았습니다. 그러나 하얀 일회용 슬리퍼랑 실내 바닥이 같은 재질이라 물방울 조금이라도 있으면 완전 미끄러집니다. 4일 있는 동안 3번정도 세면대에 물때문에 넘어질 위기를 많이 겪고 마지막 체크 아웃라는데 새벽에 일어나 스타일리쉬에거 흘러 나온 물이 잠결에 안보여 완전 꺽어질 정도로 미끄러졌습니다. 다리도 완전히 꺾이고 뼈 안다칠라 그러다 엉덩방아를 심하게 찧어습니다. 급하게 씻고 나오느라 당시는 몰랐는데 시간이 지나면서 달걀 만하던게 복숭아 만한 혹이 엉덩이와 사타구니사이에 있어 앉지도 못하고 너무 힘이듭니다. 오늘 일어난 일이라 지금도 의자에 안질 못합니다. 나오면서 다른말 안하고 다른 손님들 위해 바닥이나 슬리퍼나 둘중 하나는 꼭 바꾸시라 의견드렸습니다. 뇌진탕 걸리기 딱입니다. 정말 위험합니다. 다만 스텝들 친절했고 호텔은 참 깨끗했습니다.

This small boutique hotel was a pleasant surprise. I gave it a 5-star rating on every aspect and need to emphasize how helpful the front desk staff were for us….. foreigners with no Korean language ability. When I return to Daegu one day, I will most definitely stay at Rivertain Hotel again.

The location was convenient close to everything, there are tons of restaurants and shops around. The staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was excellent. I loved the huge bath tub in the room which is rare to find in Korea.

Fabulous experience! Easy walking distance from two subway stops. Amazing breakfast buffet—one of the better I’ve seen. Friendly and professional staff. Big room with a bidet and spa tub. In a good neighborhood with shopping and dining all around. Definitely would stay again.

Reserved the three twin beds - room in April 2025 - It's in the heart of downtown Daegu steps away from the jewelry section of town. Lots of places to shop, eat, and catch transit walking out the front entrance of the hotel. The staff are friendly, speaks English, and very helpful. The lobby is small and basic. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast buffet which had a wide array of both Korean and Continental food and beverage options - impressive. The room is small, especially with three large suitcases to accommodate, however we made the most of it by lining up the suitcase on top of tables and chairs. Room is clean. Wet room spacious with bidet toilet. Vanity and sink were outside the wet room - full size shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and hand wash. Complimentary water and instant coffee and tea with electric hot water pot. Beds were comfortable. Daily room service available upon request. Temperature of the room was hot. AC could not be turned on during the cold weather. Windows could not be opened. We turned the heater off, and the staff provided a portable fan which made our stay more pleasant and comfortable.

This is a nice clean no-frills hotel within shopping and dining locations. Exceptional location within walking distance to Daegu Station. Breakfast was very good. The beds were comfy and had clean linens The only thing was there was no fridge and complimentary water bottles. The clothing UV sterilizer was a plus. Will come back.

Had to make a last minute hotel switch because the previous hotel was bad. Rivertain blew me away with their quality for the price. Enjoyed the fresh fruit and decent eggs for breakfast, appreciated the clean main room aesthetic, and the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. For any return trips, I am very likely to stay here again.

This place is convenient for dining & shopping. The room is spacious that I can pack my luggage easily. I was surprised that there is a jacuzzi in my bathroom. I will choose this hotel again when I come to Daegu next time.
