i’ve traveled 1.5 mil miles on AA and I hardly ever leave reviews, but this place was completely deserving. The staff are incredibly nice and the breakfast atmosphere and food was exquisite. I’d only take away a quarter of a point because they don’t have an elevator, but to be honest that didn’t bother me at all since i travel light and appreciate the steps. I just know for some folks that could be an issue. Location is perfect since it’s not on the main track but just a few blocks off so you’ll get a peaceful night sleep. Pillows were plentiful of high-quality. Air conditioner, more than sufficient. this is one of those timeless, classic hotels that make you realize how great and original France can be. So go here if you want to dissolve into the French lifestyle, but don’t come here if you’re expecting embassy suites size rooms, and Saint Regis attentiveness. This plain and simply is an exquisite peaceful classy place.

Recently stayed here during a heat wave in France and can confirm, the air conditioning worked great. It’s a mini-split in the room controlled on the wall. I would note that the condensation from the mini-split appears to be collected by towels underneath, so if someone is sensitive to that, that’s something to keep in mind. The bed was definitely comfortable and room just spacious enough for 2 of us. It does not have an elevator, so if you have heavy luggage, I would request a room on floor 1 (which will still require going up one flight of stairs). The staff were incredibly helpful and got us espressos every morning, and kept the key for us while we explored the town. If you’re wanting to walk in the old town, this location cannot be beat. Parking was available at Park Mignet parking garage nearby. All in all, I’d definitely stay here again!

Very convenient if you like walking

Great location in Old Town Provence. Easy walk to lots of restaurants and shopping. Parking was in garage a block away for extra charge. Breakfast buffet was very basic for what you paid. Rooms were small and didn't have an elevator so you had to carry luggage up multiple flights of stairs if you didn't request a lower floor at time of reservation. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Many wineries nearby that you can drive to. Would consider again if staying in the area and traveling light.

This property is excellently situated in Aix. It has an old charm about it that brings back happy memories of European hotels in the 1970’s. Our room was spacious and comfortable, as was the bed. Breakfast was good. The staff was exceptional, helpful, friendly, and engaging. Air conditioning during the May 2026 heatwave kept us very cool. We would stay here again if ever we visit Aix again.

Lovely hotel in a very pretty street in Aix. Amazing service and very helpful staff - I had a change of plans and had to cancel one night on a non refundable booking and on requesting the extremely friendly staff, they agreed to refund my room charges back to me! This is a great little hotel with excellent staff and good breakfast. You get to stay right near where it is all happening in the old town center. Couple of limitations here: this hotel has no elevator, so if you bring large luggage, be prepared to haul it up three flights of stairs, which is no fun because the stairs are small and steep. Rooms are generally small although comfortable and clean. Also, if you plan to bring a car here, be prepared to navigate congested one-way cobble stone roads crawling with tourists and travelers on two wheels who are apparently all tired of life. Half of the old streets are blocked off to traffic, so it is like navigating a maze to get to the hotel. Public parking is a ten minute walk from the hotel. Each room we stayed in had good air conditioning. Staff gave us excellent restaurant recommendations, and for the money we spent, I think it is a good value despite the shortcomings.

We enjoyed being in the heart of Aix. The hotel was very quaint and typical European in style which is what we wanted. The staff was very helpful & friendly. The breakfast was great!

Location:Excellent - The bed: excellent. The breakfast : excellent - The room was in the style of authentic French hotels - a bit small but more than adequate- the bath: excellent. I loved this place. It took me back to the 1970,s where all French hotels were flights of winding stairs. Highly recommended. An excellent value.

Everything was excellent. Room was beautiful and clean, bed was very comfortable, bathroom spotless. Staff was friendly and helpful. Questions answered and items provided quickly and with a smile (we needed an iron/board, an umbrella, coffee, etc) . Breakfast was ample and delicious, served in a lovely and relaxing room. Bravo, all thumbs up.
