I booked this hotel 3 months before going, on the way to Aberystwyth I had a phone call to say they had messed up the booking and were transferring me to their sister hotel, The Four Seasons. The car park can only hold 4 cars, you have to then take your chances of not falling fowl of the parking rules on the street. When checking in, i was told i would be in one room for 2 nights and then moved to another room for the third and final night. The restaurant doesn't open in the evening because only one member of staff covers the entire hotel in the evenings!! I left a day early with the owner refusing to refund me for his mess up, he said i could come back and use that night in future- i will never book with them again. I suspect that the other hotel is as badly managed. And the shower didn't drain properly. The staff were lovely, but that was the only good point. The walls were thin and I could hear the TVs and conversations on both sides when trying to sleep.

A Charming and Peaceful Stay in Aberystwyth Stay at the Queensbridge Hotel was an absolute delight! From the moment I arrived, the friendly staff made me feel incredibly welcome, and their helpfulness was consistent throughout my visit. The hotel offers a wonderfully peaceful environment, perfect for a relaxing getaway. My room was comfortable, and I was especially impressed with the clean bathrooms. One of the highlights was definitely the lovely breakfast—a fantastic way to start the day. In the evenings, the in-house bar was a cozy spot to unwind. Even better was the outdoor terrace, which provided the perfect setting to sit and enjoy the breathtaking sunset. The location is also excellent; the hotel is quiet, yet only a two-minute walk from lots of food options, making it incredibly convenient. I highly recommend the Queensbridge Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly, and quiet place to stay in Aberystwyth.

This hotel is not 5 star in photos but the cleanliness, food, location and especially the staff are. Loved our stay. Will stay again!

Very friendly staff. Comfy room. A small lift though to upper floors. If you are claustrophobic not great. I managed though. Only room for one. Otherwise a lovely place to stay on seafront. Breakfast was great. Plenty of choice. Self service including English breakfast. Enjoyed. Thank you.

Booked 2 rooms 4months before hand. 3 hours into journey had a call from another hotel saying they now had our booking and they had no room. No communication from Queensbridge no apology from Queensbridge. Awful experience!

The hotel called whilst we were on-route to say they couldn’t accommodate us due to an “issue” and we had been transferred to a sister hotel The Four Seasons close by. There was no parking, no bath (even though we had specifically booked a room with a bath at the original hotel). The room we were given was directly opposite the laundry room and the damp air was being blown straight at our room which subsequently smelled damp. The staff were not very friendly and the bar was closed before we got back at 10pm on a Friday evening. We left after one night even though we had planned and paid for three nights. We would never go back.

Would give a lower rating if I could! I booked 3 rooms for one night and we were moved to their sister hotel and only got two rooms which meant 4 of us had to share totally unacceptable! The room is this hotel had a dirty bed and the bath still had dirty water in it. Still paid the same price for two rooms and not the 3 we booked. Breakfast was edible as overcooked! Terrible service, the only reason I was told before we arrived was because I called to pay before arrival. Don’t book this hotel as you could end up in a different hotel being overcharged.

Tired and dated hotel. Cleanliness of the room we had was terrible, cobwebs and dust. If your not good with stairs, this place is not for you.

The proximity to the promenade and shops was perfect. Parking was excellent, we parked for free for nearly three days. It was enjoyable to sit on the verandah and watch the world go by. Reception staff and in the dining room were very polite and helpful. The dining room appeared to have been recently decorated and we both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts.

Was’nt expecting much , so no surprises . Entrance very small and steep steps to room via 2 dirty fire doors . Bathroom very outdated and poor condition. Room over looked a small courtyard and since a window couldn’t be closed , was kept awake on and off due to loud men and woman talking , laughing all night, in the courtyard . We’re still there at 6 am. Didn’t stay for breakfast as worried about kitchen standards. Aberystwyth is a dirty uninspiring place . Dog poo and Seagull poo everywhere .

I was fortunate to have a front facing triple room which was huge! The view out of the window over the bay was excellent. There is a lift but it is a very old one and only takes one person at a time. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is free, but only on the street and first come... Breakfast was included and fabulous. Evening meal not included and I struggled to find somewhere to eat on a Sunday night. The recommended hotel stopped at 6pm and I ended up in a KFC which would not have been my first choice. That is not a criticism of the hotel, just a fact.

Only reason I booked the hotel was that it said there was free parking (Free self parking on site), turns out that doesn’t exist and you’re left to drive the streets looking for somewhere (guy on reception told me there was a Pay and Display which was free after six - that was about two hours before six so I would have to pay for part of my stay). Hotel is an old fashioned seaside B&B, strong smell of joss-sticks throughout leading me to wonder what that was masking. Only saving grace was the lady running breakfast - who did a fantastic job getting you everything. Eco wise maybe time to move away from all the single serve plastic and breakfast cereal boxes.

It was nice location to see and hear the waves. Checkin was nice and friendly. Parking was street parking and was available. But could get difficult on busy times.

The Queensbridge Hotel feels like a typical seaside hotel - everything that you need, is comfortable, and the staff polite and helpful, but the decor is showing its age. Our room had a wonderful view of the sea, which definitely helps! We enjoyed the hearty cooked breakfast in the morning.
