The stay was not too bad with just a few minor problems - dusty room, drink waiter not knowing how to mix drinks, new staff not been trained for their job, no choice in pillows (large was the only size).
We asked for the account on the morning that we were due to leave so that we could check it, and all was in order. The account was for $62.55(US) and we paid $70(US) in total and told them to keep the change as up to that point we were reasonably happy.
We got 5mins down the road when the tuk tuk driver received a phone call from the hotel to say that we had short paid by about $10. Luckily, I had asked for and had the receipts. We returned and the young girl that we had paid the account to told us that we were short. I pulled out the documents and along with her, found that we had paid more that what the account was $70(US) and that there was no error. We were inconvenienced because the trainee receptionist who was not supervised could not do math.
Once we got to the airport, the tuk tuk driver told us that the manager of the hotel wanted to talk to me. He was most apologetic and said that the girl was very new at her job and that he was sorry that this problem had spoiled our trip. I accepted his apology and learned that you must ask for and keep receipts when staying at this site.
