Having stayed the week prior at the Home2 Suites in Ephrata, I was expecting an exceptional experience as I had there. Not the case at the Lancaster location. At check in the incompetent unfriendly staff member gave me someone else room despite having handed her my ID with my name clearly on it! Then told me I needed to put $175 on my credit card for incidentals for a 2 night stay. I went up to the room and it was not what I booked, came back down and THEN, she told me I made 2 reservations and I need to pay for both (that was what the $175 was for- I was paying for someone else room). She finally realized she gave me someone else room and told me I'd have to call Hilton and Orbitz (I booked and prepaid for the room) and straighten it all out with them. Luckily the manager walked into the hotel at the time and figured out what happened. He assured me he'd make sure the charge for the other room was removed and follow up with me. He never did follow up. The room I was put in was right across from the elevator and had the door sweep removed so there was a large gap between the bottom of the door and the floor allowing noise every time someone was chatting at the elevator. Did they offer any kind of compensation for all this? No. I won't be coming back. If you want to stay at a Home2Suites in the area go to the location in Ephrata. I had a wonderful stay there.
