This hotel is ideally located, close to shopping, dining and the rail station. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, spacious and well-equipped, with a nice kitchenette and a view of the cathedral. My only complaint was that my room location required me to take the lift, then walk down a long hall through several doorways, and negotiate some half-dozen steps -- a bit awkward with the luggage. Otherwise it was a quite comfortable and affordable stay, and I would definitely recommend it to friends visiting Manchester.

Staff were amazing. Sadly the room I thought I’d booked in the pic was not the one I got. Having no air con in a room that doesn’t have any opening windows was stuffy to say the least. Also having an oil radiator to heat the whole room wasn’t ideal either.

The room was clean but quite a walk away from the reception and through a number of security doors and stairs. Rooms are not serviced daily so stock up on coffee and milk from the breakfast and maintain linen and towels. Staff at reception aren’t the most helpful or interested and the parking (£20 per day) is quite a walk away if you have lots of bags.

Specious, clean, comfy, loaded with amenities, fully-equipped kitchen, excellent lighting, amazing staff, super-central location, good prices.

Rooms are nicely designed, always tidy and clean. Plenty of kitchen amenities available, right outside the Arndale and situated in an arcade full of restaurants - super convenient!

Good for the money. Room was clean and well appointed, albeit worn. Only real issue was shower pressure in the morning.

Well equipped facilities and great location in the city centre.

Room was large but felt dated as we were given an accessible room. I had previously requested a room with a shower rather than a bath but didnt want/need an accessible room, I also asked for a city view but didnt get that either so when I asked for a room change the receptionist, somewhat reluctantly, changed the room number but said there were no rooms available in the Hotel with a view. Otherwise nice stay, bed comfy, room clean.

Complete farce at check in. iPad wasn’t working to enter details. Receptionist tried charging me twice for the stay even though I’d already paid online. Altogether around 15 minutes to check in !

Large room for 3. Everything we needed. Near a tram stop and only 15 mins walk from Piccadilly. Christmas market outside the door. Would definitely stay again

The room was lovely clean and quiet. Location is excellent, check in staff need some customer service training , they didn’t explain anything and even disagreed that they were overcharging us until the day after when I raised it again and they released they had made a mistake!

We liked the accommodation a lot! The location was great and our room and facilities were fab. Your front of house staff however were unwelcoming, disinterested and unfamiliar with the concept of hospitality. They did not reflect the incredible appeal of this super building and dimmed our experience.

Whilst the location is handy given how close it is to the city centre thats where the positives ended for me. Got there and there was a load of womens hair in the shower that evidently hadn't been cleaned, the knives in the kitchen were filthy as well, room wasnt serviced at all for a 4 night stay the view from the window was just a load of steel girders and air conditioning outdoor units. Paid for a "Grande Studio" yet half of it was practically unusuable, there was a table at the foot of the bed which had the TV on however to sit at the table meant you were about 3 inches away from the screen making it practically impossible to watch, the sofa in the lounge area also was located the other side of a pillar as well as a tiny kitchen table being shoved innthe corner of the kitchenette, so realistically the ONLY place you could watch TV from was in bed, completely pointless having the lounge/kitchen area. In honesty citysuites2 if you can get it at a reasonable price is a MUCH better execution on the concept, the rooms are of a better standard, the gym is much better equipped, and the layout of the rooms is also far superior, doubt i'll be stopping here again
