At the foot of a spectacular mountain, dramatic back drop. Small rooms ,like many private guest houses in Iceland. But beds were comfortable, just passing through.

This property was wonderful! Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The view from our room of the mountain was fantastic. We could not hear people once everyone was in their rooms, even with some loud snoring from our neighbor. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and cutlery. The only small drawback was no working lights or outlets in the bathrooms, but with the sun not setting until midnight, this wasn’t an issue

This place was wonderful! The location was my favorite part, and my window view of the stunning mountains, waterfalls, and glaciers was simply breathtaking. Though the room was small, it had everything I needed, and I truly enjoyed my stay. I definitely recommend this place to others!

The scenery is the best part of the property. I understand it is in a rural area but the property was quite dingy. Not sure why it is required to contact the property for check in instructions when it can be emailed ahead of time. You simply walk in, find your name on a board, and go to the room. The room is basic as expected reading other reviews. You can hear others fairly easily throughout the house. The other travelers were ill mannered and left towels and hair in the shower. On the room key there is a wood block with your room number carved into it, be sure to hold it while unlocking your door or it may wake the house. Luckily my room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Not sure I will be staying again unless I am in a pinch. For the value I expected more of an upkept residence.

A very cosy and comfortable farmhouse. The host was welcoming and thoughtful. Providing us with many necessary amenities. Although it is not modernly finished, it is definitely a recommended stay in a remote area.

This was a great place to stay close to the ring road and was in a very pretty area. We even got to see the Northern Lights while we were there!

This was a beautiful remote location that was perfect for our one night stay while driving around the Ring Road of Iceland. The landscape was breathtaking and secluded, which made for a wonderful and unique stay. Just down the road from an amazing farm restaurant, Jon Ricki! I would highly recommend this location for anyone who wants a unique and beautiful stay while traveling in Iceland!

Adorable little property out in the middle of nowhere! Town is actually only about 20 min away but was so quiet and peaceful here. Clean. Felt like I got a taste of real icelandic home

This property was clean and neat and updated on the inside (the exterior needed a little updating.). It is set near beautiful mountains and in fields of sheep, with views of a glacier as you are driving in. The pics online that we saw were of a large room with expansive windows. We were in a tiny room with one large window and blank white walls. A little art on the walls would make the room more inviting. This property is about 25 minutes outside of Hofn. Given it is so far from town, some coffee, tea, and breakfast items would have been appreciated. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Great location, nicely situated so you can still get to Hofn for a meal but also enjoy the quiet of nature and have good darkness for viewing the northern lights in the winter. Room was smaller than we expected, and smelled slightly of paint or something. Very similar to a dorm room, but nothing unlivable, and within the price range we would expect for that in Iceland.

Very clean and modern guesthouse. Quite a ways from Hofn, but a great place to take in all the stars in the sky, or if your luck is better than ours...the northern lights. Off the highway a bit, but easy to locate using Google Maps. We called the owner to check in, but found out that we just needed to enter the location and find our name on one of the rooms. Wi-Fi did not work for any guests, but it was so late that we did not bother calling the host so can't really complain about that.
