Our room is very clean and quiet. Staff are very friendly. Our room’s view is super, we can see the beautiful sunset in our room. Location is good, not too far from Vik where we can have great restaurants for dinner. Not too far for many activities.

This is an old house or Barn converted into a Hotel, leaky faucets, hot water runs out in a minute then you wait 15 to 20 minutes or longer. In our room tge hair dryer wasn't working, we called the hotel staff at 6AM since the Hotwater stopped after a minute...they said it wasn't an emergency, taking a cold shower isn't an option especially when you paid top dollar for a room. Staff doesn't show up until 7.30 or 8 AM. You can find plenty of good hotel in VIK the next town 20 minutes away,we wish we knew that before we booked here. I rarely write reviews let alone something this critical but wanted to spare the anguish for other travellers.

Great location! Very friendly and helpful staff! Showers not that smooth and hot enough. If the old faucets are upgraded,that would be great.

This property was a perfect location for us and had a serene setting. We were greeted by a lovely dog, who i called Lassie as it appeared to be a Collie. Our room was more than adequate for our stay and a short 20 minute drive to Vik. The beds were comfortable. Lassie tried to climb in our car and come home with us but we told her/ him they had to stay.

Need lower threshold into bathrooms. Tripped every time and it is hard-edged. Would be nice to allow using dining area to eat one’s own food. Staff declined that request.

Great place and clean and comfy rooms

Clean room - had to remove our shoes at the front door - thought that was weird.

The view was not good an old barn, broken implements and could not see the ocean. Room was clean but not weak decorated and definitely not worth 500 cdn dollars a night.

Clean motel in beautiful area. Unfortunately the only place you can take advantage of the view is the picnic table in the parking lot. Small window in room with no view of much and the room with all the windows and seating that is advertised is only open for breakfast. Too much money for a bed and a bathroom with poor water pressure.

The owner is greedy. Requested to remove the shoes at the entrance, but asked ~$35 for breakfast and no free coffee during the day, only Nescafe with dry creamer. Room is small, not all rooms have bathroom in the room. :(

Location and views from property were unique and beautiful. Rooms were very small with no TV. Shower had very low pressure. Cost was over $300 a night.

Located in a quiet and scenic area close to some must see attractions. However, food options are limited. Overall, an interesting place to spend a night.

At first it was a little shocking because it was in the middle of nowhere. Check in was a little confusing. Be sure to let them know in advance when you are arriving. The rooms were clean and the common area cute. We didn’t have breakfast. It was close to Vik.

Room was very clean and had everything we needed

The property is perfectly located. It’s nothing fancy but with the prices the way they are in Iceland. I think this is just perfectly lovely. The room has twin beds, sink, and mirror, storage for your bags, a chair , nightstands, and a hot pot with teabags and coffee cups. It has a shared bathroom and a shower in the bathroom.There is a very nice dining room. I wish we had not brought so many groceries and had eaten in the dining room for me to be able to give a review. They do have a small group refrigerator and microwave. If you fly into Reykjavík one day, the Guest house is just the right distance. The next warning we got up and went horseback riding Vik, then explore the black beach and there are so many other places to go down south.

Wonderfully welcoming and had beers to purchase after a long day adventuring! Lovely room and views.
