Lovely place,slightly disappointed to have been asked to remove my shoes before going up to my room( I have bad arthritis) secondly difficult getting in and out of the bed due to low beams either side of bed. I can’t judge on any other room. I studied the reviews before my stay stay, and people clearly love this beautiful home.

This is a gem of a place, very warm and welcoming hosts, with nice extra touches such as providing a fan on a very hot day. The breakfast was feshly cooked, generous and delicious.

Great welcome and friendly hosts, ended up staying two nights.

The room was perfect. Very comfortable, clean and relaxing. Everyone was extremely polite and hospitable. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

The owners of Mayfields obviously love what they do and work extremely hard because the place is finished to an exceptional standard and maintained immaculately. They are really welcoming and friendly. And DO NOT miss out on the cooked breakfast. Spot on. I'll definitely be back if I'm in that part of the country again.

Lovely and welcoming from the start when I arrived by the owners. The whole place was clean and tidy, guests are allowed to use cutlery, plates and microwave to prepare their own food as well as the fridge for storage. Plenty of parking and it’s situated in a nice area. I will definitely be staying there again.

Stayed here for a family function at the Wakters Arms just a 7 min walk away. Highly recommended.

Stayed overnight on business. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. The room was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. The whole property was very clean and welcoming. The breakfast was superb. I would recommend :-)

Booked not knowing where we were going,. On arrival we were very pleasantly surprised. A warm Welcome, delightful room, very clean and well presented. everything we needed had been catered for.

Nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean. Lovely breakfast. Fridge and microwave provided for guests to use.

Easy to find , warm welcome , very clean , very large comfortable room , great bathroom , great sleep - nice and quiet and really good breakfast !

We loved our visit. Such a lovely couple and lovely rooms. Nothing was too much for them. We even got a lift to the station and picked up later on in the evening. We’re already looking at booking next year.
