Our stay at this hotel spoiled what otherwise was a good holiday. Arrived in the dark to a deserted building. Rang the telephone number we had for the hotel from Expedia several times but no one answered. Tried another number for the hotel but got through to people in Barcelona!! Walked up into the village, asked at the local cantina but no one knew what to do or who to contact. Had to drive into Puerto de Rosario to book a hotel there. The lovely lady on reception at this hotel tried to help us and telephoned several different numbers she found for the Hotel Rugama too, but she also couldn’t get through to anyone either. We had therefore to spend more money checking into this hotel for the night. When we returned to the Rugama the next day we luckily caught the owner who offered no apology and just showed us a key box and said something about a code, keyed this in and gave us the key (but not the code even though I asked for it). Do not stay in Room 11, I REPEAT DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 11!!! Our first night there we were freezing. The room was cold and very damp. We had to wear woollen hats in bed and caught a cold that stayed with us to the end of our holiday. a heater had been provided and the owner said something about the roof needing repairing. The heater did heat the room a little but it was still cold and awfully damp. All our clothes were damp and wet. We decided to check out the night before we were supposed to at more extra cost because we couldn't bear it anymore. Very
