Such a lovely place to stay. I only did breakfast included, and found 2 lovely restaurants nearby. Very quiet, no bars or discos. I know the hotel had some events but I didn’t. The beach was almost private. Would def recommend if you want a place out of the hustle and buzzer.

Location is a bit out of the way from the main areas but that can be no bad thing. The views and beach location are great. Loved the rooftop bar and the staff were friendly. Only downside was the food which I found quite limited and repetitive. Otherwise everything was pretty positive.

It is a beautiful property! Waking up to the ocean view everyday was magical. The rooms and hotel were decently clean. The buffet food is okay, could use improvement. The hours of the bar and restaurants are quite limited. Not much options for a late night. The adult pool area and the jacuzzi was great! - the pool could use a heater as it was quite cold so not everyone stayed in for long. Our one major disappointment was it was our honeymoon and we advised the hotel resort ahead of time. They stated they noted it and they would do anything they could to make it a great stay, but nothing extra was provided - not even a simple treat in the room like bathrobes. It was just a bit of let down. We would have been willing to pay for extras if they were offered. Just would of added to our experience. Overall very nice location, hotel is steps from the beach. Just love being by the water and having water views throughout the resort.

I had a wonderful 3 day stay at the Benalma. The staff are warm and helpful—especially Ionela at the restaurant and Carolina at the front desk. The location is lovely, although it is about an hour walk from the downtown section of Benalmadena. If you want strictly rest and relaxation, this the place. My room was beautiful and comfortable, but with a fantastic balcony and view of the sea. It’s about a mile from the train station so you can take the train directly from the airport. I recommend getting an uber from the train station to the hotel if you have a lot of luggage though because it’s a 15 minute walk downhill from the train station. I recommend having breakfast at the hotel. The buffet is decent. The Mediterranean restaurant is great too. I had the freshest salmon I’ve ever had in my life there. There is also a pizza pasta restaurant and supermarket a block away down the hill and a few other restaurants nearby within walking distance of you don’t get all inclusive at the hotel. The only cons are the elevators. They are very small and it takes a long time to get one that isn’t full or going on the right direction. All the guests I encountered complained about the elevators. All things considered, that was one minor annoyance compared to all the pros. I would definitely stay at the Benalma again!

Oh boy, where do I start? 1. Check in was a fiasco. We specified non-handicap room when we booked. The first room that Fernando, the staff who checked us in, gave us, was of course, handicap. When we complained, he gave us another room, which is again, handicap. We complained again and he offered us a non-handicap room but it would be bigger, according to him so there will be an upgrade charge of 15 euros per night. We said yes but the room was next to a door being constructed and dust was all over, from the door handle to the floors. Worse, the room was not made. We have photos to prove. Rosa of housekeeping told us another room, same size that we booked, is available. We finally got the room that we paid for. Since the suggested upgrade did not happen, I specifically told Fernando that we should not incur added charge and he said he will make sure. When we checked out, guess what, the hotel was charging us for the upgrade. What??? When we told them what happened, they relented. 2. Staff was incompetent, specifically Fernando. Because of the check-in fiasco, he promised to send us a bottle of wine. We stayed 3 nights, but did we get the wine? NO! 3. Property was not clean. On day 2, ants started coming out of our sink. We have photos to prove. 4. Amenities were useless. Everything--- pool, sauna, spa, closes at 6 PM. There's a tub but no stopper so it's useless. Don't get fooled by this hotel's glitzy photos and ads. This hotel overpromises but severely underdelivers.

It was a splendid 3 nights stay in the hotel. Very friendly staffs, very clean room with everyday cleaning, environment was very clean as well. I enjoyed the hot tub. It was a short holiday, I will definitely return. I love everything about the hotel. No regrets.

Great hotel right on the beach just outside Benalmadena. There’s plenty to do at the hotel, the rooms are spacious, modern and clean with fabulous sea views. You can’t go wrong staying here!

Lovely clean and comfortable room, could have done with a few more supplies for refreshments (tea bags/ coffee) however you are given a cup to take away your hot drink in the restaurant, if you wish at breakfast so no big issue for me. beautiful sea views. Loved the roof terrace and hot tubs, shame the bar was closed although we stayed at the end of April so maybe it opens in summer. Fabulous choice of breakfast lots of hot and cold food and eggs cooked to order. Staff were very friendly and helpful, I only stayed for 2 nights, I will definitely come back for another visit and stay for for longer it was worth every penny.

Bathrooms in lobby area need much better cleaning schedules. Both male and female toilets were dirty every time myself and my partner went to use them. Pool bar needs a better system for serving both people on the cafe side and on the pool side. Numerous times I was queuing on the pool side and people would join the queue on the cafe side and would be served before me. This is not very good customer service. The location of the hotel is lovely. It is a bit out of the town but 15 mins on the bus and you are in the centre with lots of bars and restaurants. Bus costs €3.20 for two people one way and they do not take card. Cash only. Breakfast was OK, we only went twice out of the week. Hash browns were lovely. Lunch was the same every day. Cold chips. Everything was cold. Dinner was the same as lunch, same thing every night and just mass produced cheap ingredients but it's the same thing everywhere when you do all inclusive unless it's a very expensive hotel. Roof top bar was shut. One out of the 3 beds had no mattress so was out of use. One jacuzzi was off. It should be sign posted better as it felt awkward and like the jacuzzi belonged to whoever was sitting on the bed beside it but that is not the case. We arrived at 11pm so only had 1 hour of all inclusive which did not include any food on the first day. Day of check out they cut our bands off so we couldn't use even though our flight wasn't until 10pm that night. I've never had that happen before.

Lovely hotel with every room having a sea view. Breakfast was delicious & the beach/pool area were fantastic. Will definitely be returning
