this hotel is a bit off the main thoroughfare but still convenient for walking. the rooms are in a historic house that appears to also house other residences. i felt very safe in this area. there is a bar/coffee place at the end of the block - 2 minutes walk. entry is thru a code provided via email so once you are in, you make your way up the tiny lift (at least there is one) to the rooms. my room was comfortable, clean & bed was great. my only complaint was the shower. in the early morning i discovered the shower didn't drain; so there i am ready to use it and i had to whatsapp someone to come fix it. good thing there was a night manager who came quickly and made note of it so someone could come while i was out to fix it. meanwhile i had to turn the water on & off so it didn't overflow into the room. also the battery on the safe was dead so i wasn't able to lock up my valuables, although there was no issue. the person on the other side of whatapp was very responsive to my requests and it was a lovely place to stay.

The hotel was excellent. The location was perfect and close to everything. There were busses and subways nearby if you don't want to walk The staff, which helped us out with a few things, were very friendly & helpful. They were located off premise, but only a couple of minutes away.

Great hotel, easy online check in. Everything was great. I would definitely stay again. The noise proofing from the street is fantastic, couldn’t hear anything from outside. There is a shared kitchen and the sound from the other guests was noticeable. Another guest was sick and hacking and coughing in the kitchen for a while, which was unfortunate but not a big deal. Overall, it was a great stay.

Great location near Casco Viejo (Old Town). Nice amenities.

Room is clean and comfortable. There us no front desk and we got access code via WhatsApp There is a mini mart next to it where we can buy water and fruits. Lots of tapas bars, bakery, shops around this area. 23 minutes walk to Guggenheim museum. It is a fun walk along the river. We got up as early as 7:00am so that we can arrive at Gatztelugatxe without reservation before the staff starts work. It worked well.

Central location, very clean, easy entry system and perfect for my short break. The soundproofing isn't very good but earplugs sorted that!

I was in the old part of Bilbao and near shops, cafes and restaurants. Transport was good as it was near bus stops and a metro station.

Unusual hot weather. Fans available. Helped but ceiling fan off and on. Stuffy. Kitchen nice. Bed and shower nice.

Nice room in a great location in Casco Viejo!

Difficult to find. Dreadful small lift. No instructions provided as to which floor to go. Extremely basic room. Parking a long walk away. When I had a problem connecting to wifi and rung the number given, I had a quick response but it was abrupt and not very helpful. I would not stay again.

beautiful space, the room had everything we need it. and it was clean nice balcony to the street.

Practical and great location. Walls are very thin so you hear everything going on around and people going in out of other rooms. Price was extreme at this time as it was the Euro Finals, but assume otherwise probably good value for money. Easy check in/out process. Would have loved a proper window with a view but it was fine. Large shower was a positive! I would have added a photo but my phone was stolen on the street by a pickpocket theif.

It was a wonderful stay with a clean room, easy access, great location, and friendly and helpful staff, who even helped me a lot for taking care of my delayed luggage. I would highly recommend this place.

Great location in Bilbao old town. Very clean, pleasant, functional and a bit funky.

Small but all we needed, smart and stylish accommodation in lovely part of the old town. lots of bars and restaurants close by (we tried Gerrin - excellent modern twist on Basque trad. food). Great sleep on comfy bed - no traffic noise at all. And reasonable price. Planning to go back for a longer stay.

Lift was very noisy whole vuilding shook when used.

Situated right in the centre of the old town and a short walk to the Casco Veijo Metro station. The room was not air conditioned but provided a fan and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was ok but I dislike hotels with macerator type toilets as they make way too much noise and the hotel will fine you 200 Euro if you block it by putting toilet paper in the toilet (Sign beside toilet) so be aware of this.

Great location in the Old Town of Bilbao. Great value with a friendly and very helpful staff.
