Main drawback was parking which was some distance so no quick access to car for forgotten items. To be fair, proprietor provided a free personal taxi service on arrival and departure. Breakfast a bit quirky.

The b n b did not advertise there would be no parking available, we had to park over a mile away up a very steep hill.

The proprietor was an absolute gentleman. He was thoughtful and considerate even before we arrived - calling ahead to remind me to book restaurants due to the high seasonal. He was also considerate of dietary needs for breakfast and went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

Nice find in Dartmouth. Short walk into the town. The room was well appointed and contemporary decorated. The room and bathroom was very clean. Johnathan couldn't be more helpful. The continental breakfast was excellent.

Jonathon was very helpful, provided oat milk and gluten free bread etc. However the room was very dark, hot and dusty - it wasn’t really clean. Breakfast was continental with a good range on offer and the dining area lovely and light, nicely decorated etc.

We had a very pleasant 4 night stay here. The location is excellent, a 5-10 minute walk from the quayside (depending how fast you walk!) mostly on the flat (only the last 50 yards are uphill coming back from town). The rooms are lovely, and a particularly nice touch was the inclusion of a couple of wine glasses as well as the usual tea & coffee making equipment, with a mini fridge containing real milk (lovely!) and of course for your bottle of wine. Our room overlooked the main road but luckily it's not very busy so we could keep our window open at night, it wasn't too noisy. We were a bit disappointed that they don't do the traditional cooked breakfast; but the home made muesli was lovely, with loads of fresh fruit, very filling, or you could choose a hearty bowl of porridge. We would definitely book this B&B again.

Great British b&b in an excellent position to explore Dartmouth. Johnathan was an excellent host and couldn’t do enough to help us whether it was parking cars or being flexible with our breakfast requirements. Would strongly recommend staying here

Johnathan, the host, has an excellent sense of mid-century design and the rooms of Hill View House show off his acquisitions very well. Johnathan was very helpful getting us into parking behind his building, and taking us into town (close) couple times so we made sure to be on time. Location was quite close to city locations we wanted to visit - were able to walk to and from restaurants, shops, historic sites, and ferry access to Greenway House (Agatha Christie's home).

Dear Jonathan. Thank you for being the perfect host. We enjoyed our stay at Hill View only 5 min. from the town center. Breakfast was perfect and all your tips and the short tour in your car gave us an idea on what to do in Dartmouth. Thanks again and stay safe. Kind regards Hanna and Peter
