Great facility

Nice hotel, at the center of the city. Everything is close by. All the attractions are also in walking distance of the hotel.

Hotel was really nice. Staff really welcoming and polite, rooms cleaned really well every day. Hotel is also in a really central location and close to lively restaurants and bars. Hotel also has an app where you can stock the mini fridge, ask for any extra toiletries, or contact the reception on. Only slight downside as we had to wait until exactly 3pm to check in. Have had other hotels which have allowed us to check in early. However, there is a luggage storage space so we were able to leave our things there.

Great hospitality!! Plus the extra perks of being able to use the gym. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to see the roof top bar in the evening however went to Leo's rooftop so it's a win win. Will definitely use in the future. Thank you barcelo.

Barcelo are swiftly becoming my new favourite chain. The Barcelo Budapest was excellent. Brilliant location, outstanding staff, very clean and comfortable. My only challenge was the drum and bass until very late that came from somewhere nearby, but that’s what you get for staying in a trendy neighbourhood!

I recently stayed at Barcelo Hotel and had a generally positive experience, though with a few areas that could be improved. The hotel has a distinctive layout that made it stand out. It felt fresh and different compared to other places I've stayed. One thing I really appreciated was that there were plenty of towels in the room, which was great for convenience. Unfortunately, the rooms were not soundproof, and I could hear people talking and walking down the corridor, which was a bit disruptive at times. The hotel arranged a taxi for me when needed, which was helpful and easy to organize, which in turn made the journey of flight to hotel smooth. One downside was that the free VIP wine advertised through Expedia was not provided, which was disappointing as I was looking forward to it. Overall, I had a pleasant stay, but there are a few things they could work on to make the experience more seamless.

I recently stayed at Barcelona Budapest and unfortunately had a frustrating experience at check-in. I arrived 30 minutes early and was asked to pay 10 euros to check in early, which I declined. The staff proceeded to check me in but asked me to wait in the lobby for those 30 minutes. When the official check-in time arrived, I was told to return to the long line for my room key, which was very inconvenient and not what I expected. Communication could have been much better, and it felt unprofessional. While the hotel itself has potential, I hope they address these service issues for a better guest experience in future.

The hotel was lovely. The only problem was that Expedia and Bookings both claimed the Jr. Suite had a washer/dryer in the unit. This was not the case, there was no W/D. In addition, the laundry service is not available on Sundays (which was the night we stayed) and if you did request laundry, for same day service, the clothes had to be submitted by 9am. When check-in is at 3pm and your trying to get laundry done by an am departure. Its impossible. This fine print should be listed on the hotels page, to clear up any misconceptions.

We stayed one night before getting on to a river cruise. The room was clean, well laid out and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were efficient and friendly.

Everything is great except: When we checked in the room there was a cloth left in the bathtub. We talked to the front-desk the next day and then they cleaned it up the same day. The wifi signal at 5th floor was not as strong as we prefer but the internet connection is alright. Overall pretty good! Next time I will rebook Barcelo but maybe ask for a lower-floor room.

We loved our stay at Barcelo. The staff were friendly as soon as we arrived. They were helpful and offered suggestions. The room was lovely, well thought out, clean and comfy. The aircon worked and we got some complimentary soft drinks- which we appreciated after a long journey. The location was great and managed to walk all over Budapest form the hotel. We would definitely return.
