We stayed here for one night. It was convenient & central.

Fantastic hotel. Very friendly and lovely staff. Super convenient location in Gion, walkable to all major attractions in the area. Spacious rooms and very clean and comfortable.

Clean; quiet, nice materials. The AC unit is weak, and they do not pre-cool the room, meaning that during the summer it’s uncomfortably hot when you arrive. To power the AC unit, you have to put your key inside. This means if you leave with your key for the day, it will be hot when you return since it’s not actively cooling. Friendly staff, clean, big by Kyoto standards. Would stay again. Ask for a second key, and just keep it in to run the air condition.

Location in Gion worked for us. Staff was nice and professional. Room was a decent size and clean. Would stay here again.

Clean and good location.

Loved our stay here! Fantastic location. It is away from the very busy street but close enough to all the main attractions. The hotel was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. The rooms are more spacious than your typical Japan hotel. Our flight was very delayed and we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to check in, based on the hotels strict no check in after midnight policy. We were very grateful that staff waited for us to check in.

It is perfect f you don't mind the hotel music all night while you are sleeping. The staff was very helpful and responsive when I asked them to cut it down for the night.

Staff was friendly and helpful. They helped us with the local laundry service they advertise in the lobby. The location is phenomenal. Walking to everything is so easy and there are beautiful spots all around.

I loved the location of hotel

Great little hotel in the old Kyoto. Large, clean and very comfortable rooms. In walking distance to list of restaurants, temples and a quick walk to the train. Staff are warm and helpful. No restaurant or bar onsite as advertised , looks like there may have been one next door at some stage. The hotel is near a few sex hotels that seem to start getting busy around 9 pm, but this didn’t affect our stay. Just thought I’d mention it, so others are aware. We would book this hotel again, if we return to Kyoto.

Great place to stay for NYE. Near temples and a short 15 mins walk to the main strip in Kyoto. There are a few love hotels around so maybe not a family area. Also a good 10-15 mins walk to the popular Gion Edo strip that leads to the most photographed temples

Very convenient and nice staff

Probably one of our favourite hotel rooms from our Japan trip! We were very pleasantly surprised by the size. It was a good amount of space; much bigger than some of the rooms we’ve stayed in here. It was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Would have appreciated laundry facilities as well but small price to pay for a great stay.

Good location,with easy access to main street shopping and public transport. Next to an important temple. Lovely stay.

The property was in the old charming part of the Gion area which I loved. But the room was musty & dusty. I had to continually use allergy meds and asthma inhaler. They also did not offer luggage shipping options. Which really helps out solo travelers with luggage.

This is a great, small hotel in an excellent location. Rooms are large (for Japanese standards), have good amenities, and are clean. The bed was quite hard and it hurt my back a bit, and this is coming from someone who likes firm mattresses. There are no other hotel facilities to speak of, but if you want a clean, comfortable and stylish room in the centre of Gion, I recommend this hotel.
