We stayed at the Dimitri for 4 days, with a 2 day absence in the middle. The staff was very helpful and kept our luggage secure while we were gone. The room was spacious, and the location convenient. The only downside was being on the 3rd floor with no elevator. Good included breakfast and restaurant. Very pleasant stay.

Perfect hotel for business trips. Out of the town centre and its heavy pollution, for people who have to spend their days in town it's great to get out of the noise and exhaust fumes at the end of a working day. The taxi driver used by the hotel speaks good enough English and is totally reliable (used him many times, he's never been late). To give people who know Addis an idea, it takes about forty minutes at peak traffic time to go from the hotel to the African Union compound. It's about 15-20 minutes from the airport. Very nice and helpful staff when you are yourself amiable. Prices reasonable for Addis. Internet (free) has improved measurably over the years and works now really well. Only two drawbacks as far as I'm concerned. Although they have visa equipment it... never works. So either you pay in advance via Hotel.com or be prepared to pay in cash. And being at the town's edge there aren't many restaurants around. Hotel has a restaurant though and a bar, food is not fantastic but perfectly fine.

The Dimitri Hotel is fairly new still and therefore very well maintained. My room was spacy and comfortably furnished. The hotel's location is not near to must-see sights and there are still buildings under construction in the vicinity but the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They organized that I was picked up at the airport and although I arrived late at night supper was still served to me. Also breakfast is enjoyable. It was included in the fee and I could choose à la carte. I was pleased with my stay and can recommend Dimitri Hotel to other visitors.

The hotel was clean and staff were helpful. However, the location is quite a way from central Addis so it took some time to get into town, and the taxi ride was quite expensive. The surrounding neighbourhood consists of crowded dual carriage ways. However, it is near the airport and more importantly very near to the Yod Abyssinia cultural restaurant which is well worth a visit - although a bit touristy, it is also very popular with Ethiopians, and the food, music and dancing are well worth going there for.

My wife, her friend and 2 kids (7 & 9) stayed in the very large and spacious 'presidential' suite for two weeks while visiting family in the Bole area of Addis. The hotel price was very reasonable compared to the expensive international chains located in Addis centre. The owner was really friendly and provided service over and above that stated. The Italian restaurant was a little pricey, so much cheaper to eat out at the many small places situated nearby. The only negative point was that the room were poorly heated being very cold at night, however the owner provided her personal electric heater. Situated close to Bole airport. My wife will use this hotel again as she was extremely happy with the service.

A clean, pleasant, quiet room. Reasonable internet wi-fi connection in lobby, but not in room. Friendly staff, and a tasty pizza served in restaurant. Downside is location for business in Addis - with long taxi rides back and forth to center.

We spent a night at Dimitri Hotel for a transit from Dar-Er-Salaam to Rome. It was a great experience. The hotel is clean and the room comfortable, but the greatest thanks goes to the staff. Extremely friendly and helpful. We had dinner at their restaurant, too...a very good pizza!Highly recommended!

No airport transfer, no mini bar,no coffee or tea making facilities, all of which they said was available on their website. The hotel was next to several building sites in what can only be described as an industrial area of the city. Overall very poor, don't go there.

This hotel was very friendly, comfortable, and very safe. I stayed with a colleague for two nights while on vacation in Addis, and this hotel was perfect. Our flight arrived ini Addis very early (6am) and the hotel, to my surprise, let us check in early at no extra charge. The staff is kind and helpful, they can help arrange anything you needs (tours, transportation, etc). Also, the food is good, and the hotel is in walking distance to other restaurants and shops. Next time I am in Addis, I will stay here.

There were many factors that swayed my decision to stay at the Dimitri take, of which were the reviews offered by several of its pervious guest. We arrived late in the evening, but found the staff to be as enthusiastic and courteous as if their day had just started. Our booked room did not offer a refrigerator, yet we were quickly moved to one that did, slightly larger and at no extra charge for the accommodations. I was skeptical that we would be able to get something to eat or any service at all for that matter, but, again my skepticism was unwarranted. Upon a call to the receptionist desk, my order was taken with a friendly voice and the service was rendered in a timely manner without any foul attitudes or disposition attached. The décor of the rooms are tasteful, although some of the furnishings show signs of slight damage or abuse from previous guess or staff, nothing critical, yet noteworthy enough to mention. The food menu offered several selections of tasty dishes we’ve all grow accustom to as well as some authentic Ethiopian cuisines for those who wished to venture in to the original. The Dimitri, while lacking the convenience of on-site shopping and a multitude of recreational facilities, it definitely makes up for it with a pleasant décor, courteous, friendly staff, and service that I personal found was better than or equal to that given by one of the main name sake hotels here in Addis of which I’ve had the pleasure of staying before.

I stayed at the Dimitri because of the reviews and the price. It's a wonderful place and the service is great. After my first night, I mentioned I needed some things (fridge, more hot water, a power stripconverter). The manager moved me to a more expensive room at no charge. I did pay a onetime fee for the fridge, but that was not surprising. I live in Etiopia and have become accustomed to the taxi drivers and street beggars, so a long walk to the corner for some things at local shops was not a problem for me. Someone new to Ethiopia might feel isolated as everything you want to see will require a taxi ride. For business, it's a comfortable place with a large dining room and a very good breakfast. Other food was very good, especially by Ethiopian standards. The hamburger here was the best I've had in Ethiopia. Great hotel, good prices, kind of far out.

Approx 20 minute taxi from the airport - expect to pay $15+ for this. The meagre breakfast which was included with the room (coffee, toast, one egg) took 30 minutes to arrive even though we were the only two people in the hotel. I would not stay here again. Nb. If stopping over in Addis you'll have to buy a visa - $20 per person.

Staff were helpful enough, room a decent size, TV's everywhere, with limited channels in English. They had not made up my daughters bed, but did so when asked. Breakfast was limited, but OK, but with no evening food on site, and as there is not much around there, you need a taxi ride. It was not really a bargain, but certainly not a rip off either. Addis is such a spawling city that nowhere is that central really, but this hotel needs taxi rides everywhere.
