This is a unique resort to stay in and experience… truly eco and part of the landscape and an active cocoa plantation. Access to hiking is amazing and falling asleep to rainforest sounds- frogs, rain, etc.- is an experience you won’t get at other resorts. The cabins are private and have AC, mosquito nets for the bed (although we really didn’t need it), a decent sized fridge, coffee maker (amazing coffee!), electric kettle. The resort staff are absolutely wonderful! One of the owners talked with us on our last day, asked us about our trip and wanted to know what we liked and what could be improved. I’m sorry I don’t recall her name, but she’s wonderful and cares for the beautiful place she and her husband have created and wants to continuously improve on it for their customers. I have never experienced anything like that and it was a level of customer service that I think other resorts should aspire to. Here are my reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 for a few of the sections- cleaning and maintaining an eco resort in a rainforest must be an uphill challenge. Keeping that in mind, yes, our cabin needed some TLC in the bathroom (cracked sink, maybe some updating), but we had an outdoor shower! In the rainforest! I think there are some travelers for whom those details (the sink, etc) are important and then perhaps Fond Doux may not be the best choice for them. My family loved our stay. We’re especially grateful to the resort staff and drivers for sharing their island with us!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Fond Doux Eco Resort in Soufrière, St. Lucia. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by lush tropical scenery, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the island’s natural beauty. What truly made our experience exceptional was the outstanding restaurant and bar staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home, and they always went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The food and drinks were excellent, and the service was consistently top-notch. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we were treated like valued guests. We highly recommend Fond Doux Eco Resort to anyone visiting St. Lucia and look forward to returning in the future.

Amazing mango and cocoa from the property. Rooms were great, especially with the cool dunk pool connected. The hiking trail to the Piton view is a must - great way to explore the property. Clinton gave an incredible tour of the cocoa collection and preparation process. Staff was very attentive, food and drinks were exceptional. Will definitely return for our next visit to St. Lucia.

Excellent location. 45 minutes transfer from UVF International Airport. 15 minutes drive to Soufrière town, Gros Pitón, Sugar Beach, Sulphur Springs. 25 minutes drive to a must see Anse Chastanet beach. Accommodation. I stayed in a hilltop shabby chic style cottage with a plunge in pool. It’s all you need and more - a deck with two lounge chairs and a couch complimented by a stunning rainforest view. The chic is getting a tard shabby - I hope the resort will renovate at some point. I don’t recall I’ve seen the plunge in pool being cleaned. The hilltop is windy and drops foliage into it - hard to catch up with cleaning, however, if the cottage was equipped with pool skimmer net, it would be helpful. Amenities - very well maintained. Beautiful territory-you don’t need a tour to Diamond Botanical Gardens, you stay in one. Customer service. Exceptional. Special thanks to the Front Desk ladies - Feresia and Albertha - for answering my numerous questions, booking all my tours and island transportation, including airport transfer. Practical tips. Standard power outlet is type G, 3-pin rectangular plug. Bring adopters if you are a non-UK visitor. Tropical rainforest comes with mosquitoes and symphony orchestra of nocturnal creatures. Mosquitoes are supposedly active at dusk and dawn. My experience- they are active 24/7. Do not step out without repellent on. Use bed mosquito screen. Bring plug in mosquito traps and after bite ointment. Check your end-tables for ear plugs, unles

Wait staff at breakfast stood around talking instead of serving. Housekeeping the last day just made the bed and did not clean and we got an eye roll when we told her we were leaving in 10 minutes. Music blared at 715 am from the restaurant disturbing our room right off the patio, and then in the restaurant it was so loud you couldnt talk. Booked a massage for an hour and it was only 45 min endingat 10 till the hour and not on the hour. Shower was tepid most days.tv only worked with netflix and no cable. Restaurant was just ok. Other places nearby so much better. Overpriced for the service. A great hike on the property and very close to tet paul and sugar beach so convenient. Room was spacious and very clean on arrival. Just seems staff needs major training and facilities upgraded.

Please know what kind of traveler you are before booking this place. This is for the low maintenance nature lovers. Everyone has been so kind and sweet. Whitney took me on an amazing hike/tour included with my stay and I got to see the views of petit Peyton. Breakfast was amazing but often ran out of items , natural and fresh. Though the cottages is outdated..it’s worth it again this isn’t for the high maintenance. Bed was so comfortable and I enjoyed my patio. My cottage didn’t have a TV, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me as I had my kindle and journal. I enjoyed every meal at their restaurant. Some items were different but I tried it for the experience.

Lovely grounds and cottage. Breakfast was great. Dinners needed more variety if you plan to stay on the property for a full week. Any activities you plan require transportation. Overall a wonderful spot and people!

Trail at the hotel to see the Piton is wonderful and the property grounds are very nice and relaxing. The room was nice and clean and had a cool outdoor shower. However the pool area isn’t well kept, the front desk staff is semi friendly depending on who you get and the food selection isn’t great. The waitress’s are extremely nice and sweet! I don’t recommend using the hotel for a taxi service they up charge soo much we didn’t realize until we were talking to someone else and realize we were paying twice the amount for a taxi each day. I highly recommend using no limit taxi or other local taxi drivers they will come right to the reception and pick you up and the taxi will be 100% nicer and cheaper. Overall good location that’s close to all the main attractions in that area just don’t use their taxi service.

We just returned from a lovely holiday at the Fond Doux Resort in St. Lucia and it was absolutely amazing! We stayed in one of their free-standing cottages with a private plunge pool and outdoor shower. The layout was delightful and the setting was truly fantastic. There is a 45 minute hike on the property that takes you through pristine forest to a viewing platform that looks across Sugar Beach to the Petit Piton and the view at the top is stunning. The staff were lovely, the grounds were like an unspoiled botanical garden and the accommodations were delightfully unique. If you are looking for a beautiful, calm and romantic holiday in St. Lucia, the Fond Doux is perfect!
