The property was a little dated and could use an update. The ladies serving breakfast were great, yet the front desk staff were a little reserved. The location can't be beat. You're within walking distance of all sorts of shops and restaurants. And you do get great value for the price.

Great location and funky decor. Different enough to be cool with character. No luxury and kinda cold, so that’s why not 5 stars but excellent for the price.

Needs a lot of maintenence

Very affordable, clean and walkable to Cuenca downtown

They promised a airport shuttle pickup. Never came. They promised a late night check-in 9:00 pm no luck. When I arrived at 10:00 pm the front doors were locked. I rang the bell for 10 minutes but no answer. I had to find a taxi and look for a new hotel.

Nice little hotel in the historic district

Nice hotel. Good breakfast. Very well located in historic area. Good WIFI (you may need to insist on this. Some of the staff did not seem aware of all the options). Great value.

It was amazing, first time in Cuenca celebrating my mom's birthday. Excellent customer service, very friendly. They made us feel welcome during our stay. The price was great, the location was great, and overall very satisfied. I highly recommended Thank you for your service.

Nice person y nice place

I came to a conference and the hotel's location was perfect! It was two blocks from everything. Great people and service. Front desk was attentive and the breakfast was very good. Service was wonderful. Room was quiet!

Great hotel for its value. Staff is very helful, courteous, and timely. I was able to use all the amenities of the facility. Very clean. The WiFi was spotty at times. Overall, very pleased

Near the center of the historic district, we could easily walk to all the sites, shops and restaurants from this hotel. What most impressed us was the warm and very helpful staff. They helped us to contact the cab company to look for an item we lost. We really appreciated their support because we are not good Spanish speakers.

The staff was excellent, they went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was good, hot and fresh and the coffee was out of this world. The hotel is older and unique, very clean. We enjoyed our stay and the price can't be beat.

Very nice staff, great location close to the New Cathedral, decent value for the money. Would have appreciated an elevator.

Outstanding value. Comfortable, quiet, simple rooms. Excellent water pressure. Location is terrific, directly across the street from the light rail stop. If arriving in Cuenca by air or bus, simply buy a $1 ride on the tram and disembark at Santo Domingo. The only exit is the front door, though, and it is locked at night without an attendant, which seems like a fire hazard. I once tried to ring the bell for the night clerk, but there was no response. I opened the door myself by locating the electronic release behind the desk. But if the electricity went out, what would you do?

Great little secret in the middle of the historical district. Don’t let the price scare you away !
