Service was great and we enjoyed the sauna several times, however hotel condition & cleanliness could be improved. The first room we got (41) had a strange plastic carpet smell to which my mom was allergic. In the second one (36) the bathroom started smelling like sewage after 1 night. The staff were very quick in resolving all these issues but the sewage smell was still there (tho bearable) the rest if our 1-week stay. Other rooms offered to us had smelly carpets so we decided to tolerate the sewage smell since it was only in the bathroom and we didn’t smell it when the bathroom door was closed. Also while our towels were changed and the bathroom was cleaned quite well every day it seems they did not vacuum the floor in the actual room. The breakfast was ok.

The manager, reception and bar staff were helpful. The housekeeping needs to improve vacuuming, making up beds, checking doors before leaving rooms. Website photos do not give an accurate representation of the interior. Solutel Hotel is overpriced.

My first stay at Solutel was so good that I went back for another three nights at the end of my Kyrgyzstan tour! The hotel is tucked away on a lovely & very quiet dead end street so I slept really soundly. But it is in easy walking to the sites and museums. And to a lovely tree-lined boulevard that was so pleasant to stroll after dinner each night to see families out playing with their children - and to nab a "best ever raspberry sorbet" from a food truck that is on the left as you head toward Ala Too square! Breakfast was great with lots of variety and healthy options. But what made both of my stays so exceptional was how incredibly helpful and polite every single staff member was. As a solo female traveler on my first trip to Kyrgyzstan, I found that really reassuring. They helped with cabs, getting my rapid PCR test (fyi- they have a partnership with the Bonetsky lab so is only cost me about $15), where to buy sea buckthorn berries, ideas for must see spots on my next trip, etc! They delivered exceptional customer service and all with lovely smiles.

This is one of the best hotels in the world. Exceptional service, very good and spacious rooms, everything is up to the highest standards. Very satisfied with my stay. My colleagues and myself have stayed at Solutel many times, and keep coming back every time we visit Bishkek. Breakfast is also very good. Highly recommend!

I stayed at Solutel on my colleague’s recommendation. It seemed like a small hotel but I liked it because it was always quiet. The room was clean and spacious, breakfast was great, and staff were always friendly and helpful. The only negative was that there was no grocery store or supermarket nearby and it had limited dining options around. Having said that the hotel meals were good so I didn’t really have to go out.

After backpacking through Kyrgyzstan and staying in yurts and guest rooms, I wanted to treat myself for the last two nights to some comfort. I selected the Solutel for its price (relative to other four star hotels) and proximity (short walking distance to central train station, money changers, eateries, and Ala Too Square). The check-in was quick and I was allowed to check in early. There are only 18 rooms in the hotel, which are distributed over four floors. My single room was on the second floor. The elevator is quick and clean for those who need to use it. Upon entering the room, I was amazed by its size (compared to what I had been staying in Kyrgyzstan). The bathroom is spacious, includes a bidet, and hot showers at good pressure. The closet includes a safe. I was provided with two free bottles of water, which I stored in the minibar fridge. There are plenty of outlets for charging electronics, and the television reception is strong and clear, with many channels in English. The bed was comfy. Two of the four pillows were solid and heavy. like sandbags (which I noticed everywhere I went in Central Asia). My room was equipped with two balconies. The hotel offers an airport transfer for $10.00, which is handy for a 0400 AM departure. The breakfast buffet was substantial in offerings and amount (especially if you arrive at 0700 AM in the morning). The staff are very friendly and speak English quite fluently. The neighborhood appeared safe, as I walked around until 0200 AM

Very clean and meet expectations of a international standards. Central location. Most attractions can be reached by foot. Good restaurants are close by. I selected this hotel because of a good balance of price and location.

Everyone from the person Cem who drove me to and from the airport, all the reception and concierge staff, the cook and the breakfast, the sauna and massage by a doctor to the most comfortable bed and a gorgeous view of the mountains. Not to mention lovely Kyrgyzstan as such. Highly recommend Solutel and a visit to Bishkek

We stayed 3 nights in August 2017 as tourist guests and were pleasantly surprised at the extreme politeness and helpful assistance of all the staff. All our requests and needs were met with enthusiastic endeavour. The restaurant has lovely meals and options to suit all pallets and cultures. The breakfast buffet is substantial with some fine options. The rooms are well appointed including comfortable beds, lounge area and pleasant bathrooms. The only downside I would have to say is the gym is too small with too few equipment. Overall a nice hotel.
