Unfortunately we were only met with frustration/dissatisfaction and mostly disappointment Our room didn’t have hot water, we mentioned this everyday and only got it for one day which was the second day we stayed that was the best shower until we got back at the end to shower again and until every other day was just too cold hot water wasn’t working. After being out all day you just want to enjoy some hot water after coming back during the night. The shower also clogged up we mentioned this a couple times and we were told on the 3rd day by a staff member we were turning it on wrong I mean how should we know, my partner isn’t Samoan so by far this wasn’t good for him. Due to this we left the hotel after we couldn’t handle it no more. we didn’t ask for a refund for our last 2 nights we stayed there and there was just no other option besides the apologies from other staff members just had enough. Disappointed! Room 17 do not stay here. A few staff were lovely including the supervisor who’s Fijian and a couple who were hotel staff otherwise I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay there X

My family and I stayed at Orator Hotel in Villa 5, which sleeps four. The villa was nice and comfortable, and we appreciated the peaceful atmosphere. The staff were lovely, especially Joseph, whose friendliness really stood out. However, several issues made our stay disappointing. The bathroom needs attention — the shower was either extremely hot or freezing cold with no in-between, and the water pressure was very poor. Breakfast was nice, but for the first three days we had no idea that eggs could be cooked to order. Staff didn’t mention it, and there was no sign displayed. We only found out from another guest, and were later told a sign should have been there. We had lunch at the hotel during the first couple of days but didn’t return after waiting nearly two hours each time for our food. We later learned the delay was because staff were preparing a private buffet for the owner and their friends while paying guests were left waiting. That felt rude and unfair. The place also needs major refurbishing and maintenance. The pool had missing and loose tiles, which is hazardous. My brother even had to move rooms due to a leaking ceiling. There are also what feels like a thousand pot plants everywhere, making the space look cluttered and overwhelming. Overall, it was a hit-and-miss experience, and we would not return or recommend it to family and friends. Sorry Orator but you need to do better!!!

Wonderful welcome drink and cool towel. Fabulous garden with plenty of shade and privacy. A lovely farewell with the staff singing a goodbye song. Would recommend for families and groups as the hotel is well set up for groups

Bad connection and service inside room. Couldn't get good reception while on the internet. Breakfast waited for over half and hour just to be served with two eggs two small pan cakes and two sausages and we were the only people waited for breakfast

The hotel was great for us overall, though it could use a bit of a refresh as it’s starting to feel a little dated. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the swimming pool, conveniently located right outside our villa, was a highlight of our stay. This hotel was truly amazing when it first opened, and we would love to see it restored with some updates to bring it back to its full potential.

As soon as you drive into the property it looked deserted and old. Mostly everything was outdated. Our room was ok apart from the sliding door being hard to pull open. Beds were ok too. The room needed to be renewed or renovated cause it looked too old fashion especially the bathroom. We didn’t use the pool cause of how ugly and old it looked and there was another pool that was emptied and very deep so that was a big safety hazard especially if you have kids. Their deck needed to be fixed cause it was broken, falling apart and unsafe too. The breakfast was probably the best part of our stay. We checked out an hour late and got charged an extra 240 tala only to check in at taumeasina that same day just to find out that taumeasina only charges 50 tala for every hour you’re late for checkout so we realised how ridiculous it was to be charged 240 at the orator. A big rip off!! Overall I would say don’t bother paying to stay here when you can stay somewhere else for the exact same price but in better conditions. Overpriced and overrated. This hotel used to be one of my favourites back then but they seriously have lost their touch

Really nice hotel and nice breakfast. We stayed for two nights and were satisfied with the big room nice beds. TV works well and large shower and restroom. Great deal for the price.
