This is a beautiful lodge located about 17 km from the Anderson Gate of Etosha National Park. The chalets are clean and cozy and the beds are quite comfortable. The walk-in showers and water pressure are excellent. The meals served in the lodge restaurant are buffet-style, with many selections. I found the food and selections, as well as the drinks offered by the bar, to be exceptional! The views from the lodge balcony during the day, but especially at night (moon and stars), are stunning. The lodge offers morning, afternoon, and full-day game drives to and in Etosha, and the guides are wonderful hosts. We saw a lot of wildlife during game drives on two separate days, especially on the western side of the park. I would definitely stay at this lodge again and plan to return in the future. The value you get for your money is excellent.

Lovely location. Spacious rooms spread out overlooking Etosha. Food ok, buffet expensive for dinner especially when they rundown the options towards the end of the sitting. We had to ask them to make more of a chicken dish as we don’t eat red meat. Staff on the whole very good, although the lunch time crew seemed disinterested when we arrived at 2pm. Breakfast much better. Rooms could do with a refresh.

I booked this property seven month in advance through expedia, the day before they told me that there was no booking I was shoch, finally they sort it out. The hotel facilities are nice, food was excellent, it was clean some of the staff need a training concerning english language. I would not pay more than 250 euros per room

We enjoyed our stay. The only negative is that I got tired of only buffet meals.

Lovely room in a super hotel 10 kms from the main Etosha park gate. Fabulous sunsets and Etosha one of the great game reserves in the world Only complaints … slightly impersonal but inevitable given size and food average

If you have mobility issues, thete are a lot of steps (with handrails) but it is steep terrain The office does offer a car to go from msin lodge to rooms Staff is amazing, especially Nakale, the manager I'm not a fan of buffets which is served for breakfast and dinner Food was good but just not hot enough Great showers and lots of hot water Overall, it was a nice visit.

they had issues in finding my booking, room was nice but no view, which we were surprised about given the location. Nice sunset terrace. Dinner was not included and they charged 23£ per person per night (drinks excluded), which was a bit of a rip off for a buffet in Namibia and the quality of the food. Overall ok but wouldn’t go back.

Etosha Safari Lodge is beautifully located near the entrance of Etosha Parc. Great views from the terras. Good food with the evening buffet. The houses are spacious, clean, nice bathroom and a small terrace for your self. The beds are good, but the duvets are so heavy and thick that you need to put the airco on freezing (which is not possible) to avoid sweating out of your bed. This kind of duvets, when temperature outside can be in the high thirties Celsius, is not a smart and ecofriendly thing.

Beautiful quiet property with beautiful views! Very safe, great staff. Only areas for improvement, no wifi in the rooms, no television anywhere on property. Refrigerator in room would be nice (rooms are amazingly beautiful though and got alot of reading done with no tv or internet) Lastly, my main issue is that it was about $200 Namibian dollars more to get an etosha tour at the lodge than at the etosha safari camp, which is the same tour (as we picked people up there for our tour). Found this out last day. Also we went to the camp for dinner, and in was more lively and fun down there. Retroactively, i would stay there. Lodge is fancier, camp is laid back and fun.

It was a beautiful outlook from the main terrace and a fantastic location, close to Etosha. Saw some zebras on site and a giraffe close by. There was a lodge inside Etosha too but Etosha Safari Lodge seemed much nicer in comparison. I never felt very welcomed by staff, they were often quite cold on approach which was a shame. The evening buffet was great but didn’t realise this wasn’t included in our price. Only found out at the end. Very difficult to go elsewhere. The rooms felt very secluded and were exceptionally clean.

The hotel is beautiful, very well positioned at a top of a hill, which provides great view over the surroundings. But the overall service is not good. It seems that the numbers of the staff are not enough. Both at dinner and breakfast we felt that everything was taking far too long.

Stayed at this lodge for 2 nights and did a self-drive tour of Etosha National Park, which was very enjoyable! We booked here because of location (10 kms from park entrance) and we had stayed at a sister lodge (Namib Desert Lodge) which was excellent. The staff here were quite excellent and went out of their way to help, great service! The bungalows were a bit dated but interesting layout and comfortable. I rated this property lower than its sister property mainly because of food quality and missing amenities, such as chairs on the balcony and lack of turn down service (the bungalows are very spread out so a long walk if you need anything). Same as for the sister property, the breakfast and dinner are buffet only, the difference was in the quality of food, choices, and lack of freshly cooked options (eg. omelets; stir fry). A la carte choices would be preferred and also could do with a fridge in the room. Had we stayed here first I would have been less likely to book at a sister lodge however for our purposes it was good.
