The resort was excellent! Great beach, clean rooms and facilities. Food was great and the staff were friendly. The only draw back was getting reservations for some of the restaurants. Otherwise, we had an amazing vacation at Hotel Riu Negril.

I had a wonderful time though I put 3 stars I would still go back, sone issues though were I had to keep requesting for my room to get cleaned if I’m not mistaken my room wasn’t cleaned until the third day I was there, also I understand that tipping is a big part of their culture but please do not beg me to tip or do very small acts of kindness all to just get a tip. I love Negril, Jamaica can’t wait to be back. Oh and lastly please build ATM’s on the resort and please make it possible that all residents can book with the restaurants some restaurants were booked up before we even got there to the day we left!

First time in Jamaica, chose negril over montago simply over the environment . I preferred more scenic and calm vibes over city and nightlife. I loved the resort, I upgraded my room simply cause my view wasn’t the best but that was personal. Also loved the daily activities

Had a great stay at Riu Negril! The facility itself is beautiful, with a lively atmosphere and awesome entertainment throughout the day and night. The food options were surprisingly good, with a variety of restaurants that didn’t disappoint. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the overall all-inclusive experience definitely met expectations. Most of the staff were courteous, welcoming, and friendly, which really added to the experience. There were a few moments where service wasn’t as respectful, but nothing that took away from the overall trip. Big shoutout to the front office and check-in team for starting our stay off right. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend!

Travelled with my bestie and our 2 boys (11y) to Riu Negril for 4 days. Had a great trip. Room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Beach was 8/10 had seaweed and seen a stingray one day. Food was 7/10 and drinks were 5/10 as they were watered down. Entertainment was excellent and staff remembered our names. Shout out to Shaq, Quban, Shin Shin (sp?) and the photographer, Alex. Will be back.

Riu Negril was excellent. Go to see Frank at the 24 hour sports bar. Tell Whitney she’s amazing. Go down to the blue tents and see Don Fresh. Super cool people.

I’ve been to many Riu resorts and this was by far one of the best I’ve been to! The staff was amazing, extremely friendly and accommodating, Whitney, Gigi, Shaq, Frank, Alexia, Scott, Anthoney, Dean, and so many more made our stay amazing. The entertainment day and night was absolutely amazing. During the day there are beach games, pool entertainment and contests etc. The night shows especially were whole productions, beautiful outfits, amazing dances and bands and overall so entertaining. No matter how tired you are after a long day you still make your way to the shows at night because you don’t want to miss a thing! The food at the buffets was the best food I’ve had at any Riu or all inclusive in general! I’m vegetarian and usually only have French fries and rice as options lol. At Riu Negril they had amazing food options for everyone, meat eaters, vegetarians, pescatarian, etc. It’s also extremely easy and safe to walk either way on the beach and meet locals, shop some souvenirs, grab a drink, see the beautiful sunset, etc. Don’s right next door where the blue tents are on the beach is a must stop. They have excursions like glass bottom boat and more. Every night Don feeds 2 nurse sharks that he’s seen grow up since babies. It’s absolutely amazing and a must see/support! He also has the best, spiciest jerk chicken you can find. If you like spicy you won’t be able to stop thinking about his sauce. You will not regret your stay here. I already can’t wait to go back.

This beach is not the actual beach but in a bay. Still a good experience but you do have to walk about 1/4 a mile to get the beach experience you desire.

We enjoyed this hotel overall. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good. We enjoyed the Steakhouse dinner a lot. The pools were clean and well maintained. The was a “quiet” pool and a “party” pool. They had kids shows almost every night, and the White Party was tons of fun. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in the beach. Riu Negril is actually located in an area of Jamaica called Hannover, not in actual Negril. The sea water was murky and not that beautiful turquoise color I was expecting from Negril beaches. When you step into the water, it felt like you were sinking, and the sand was almost clay-like and sticky. You couldn’t see to the bottom at all. We drove down the shore, and found a gorgeous beach with that turquoise water in Negril, which was about 10 minute ride from the hotel.

I recommend this resort to anyone who wants to explore Jamaica. This resort is as good if not better than Sandles resorts. The food was spectacular and plenty of beverages to drink. The only thing that I think would make this resort better, is to provide a restroom on the far end where breakfast is served. The distance between the two areas is a bit long. Otherwise, absolutely beautiful.

Great experience. Love the people! Was able to get my hotel upgraded. Wish the food choices were wider for the Jamaican culinary for breakfast, and lunch and dinner. Beautiful beach and friendly staff. Walked on the beach and found other food as well.

Everything went well except sink in the bathroom did not flow out properly and although reported, no attempt was made to have it fixed. The steak house dinner was like a production line. It was kind of a rush where my spouse finished before and they took his plate making me feel like I should hurry to finish. Overall the stay was good. The nightly entertainment was very good.

My stay went well. The room was clean. They had many food option but I suggest bringing some seasoning based on your likes
