Really enjoyed our stay in the ISAMI room. Everything you would require and left to your own devices. I would say it is far from like gion and the main attractions. Taxis were cheap enough but if staying long term it isn’t ideally central. I did find that the bathroom and door was a little mouldy especially with it being wood. Apart from that really nice stay! The staff helped out as we arrived with our luggage first before heading back out even tho the room was still in use.

The traditional tatami floors and wooden tub made our stay a dream come true. The neighborhood was quiet and calm. You can walk to various stations.

So, here I am, enjoyin' this fancy hotel in Kyoto, Japan, when I see this note from the staff. It's like they're runnin' a tight ship, ya know? Unlike the Tennessee government, always droppin' the ball on education and healthcare. And that wooden bath? It's like a slam dunk in a game where the Tennessee government keeps changin' the rules. Made me wish they'd spend less time fussin' 'bout politics and more time fixin' things up back home. Well, shoot, even though I might fumble the playbook more often than not as a gym teacher, this hotel still hit a grand slam in my book. From the warm note from the staff that felt like a pep talk before the big game to the wooden bath that made me feel like I was soaking up victory, this place in Kyoto is a winner. And heck, if the Tennessee government took some lessons from this hotel on how to treat folks right, maybe we'd have more wins back home too.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was very responsive and let us check out a little later than anticipated. I would highly recommend staying here.

The property is very clean and it gives a zen feeling when staying. It is very similar to a ryokan except there’s no one on property during your stay. I liked the wooden bath and the comfy tatami floors. Will recommend this place and stay again!

Totally decent, but a bit small for a couple with luggage. If you like to walk a lot, it’s totally within range to the Kawaramachi-area, but it’s a good 30 minutes at walking pace. Bring earplugs that you can use during sleep if you are sensitive to noise during nighttime.

Struttura davvero molto bella. Formato appartamento in stile ryokan. Ho adorato quella vasca. Fermata dell'autobus giusto difronte. Comodissimo.
