Located quite near the Bus/Marshutka station, many restaraunts and cafes close by (including a very good one attached to the Hotel) If you are flying in to Kutaisi airport or visiting Prometheus Cave, this place is perfect for a short stay.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Monopoli. I arrived late (2am) and the front desk was still open and check in was quick and easy. The room was decently clean (rug could have used replacing or a good wash and the bathroom a old water/calcium stains) but the day to day cleaning service varied greatly. I did not receive any fresh towels for my five day stay. Also, there was no kettle in the room which was a disappointment. Breakfast was served daily, so that a bonus. The hotel is locate 35-40 minutes walking distance from the main city center but the main bus station is located about 20 minutes walking distance (opposite direction from city center) so the location was perfect for me.

The location is the only downside for this hotel - it is away from the central city, on the road to Tbilisi. Quite a few locals were staying - maybe they were driving. I was caught in the rain: I turned up looking like a drowned rat and the fellow on reception couldn't have been kinder. He wanted to carry my backpack but it was easier for me to do so: he took me to my room, got the heater working, found a hairdryer and showed me where everything was. The room had a sofa, a rather large fridge, a single chair but no table apart from the coffee table. It was clean (and very soon, warm), the bed was fine, the wifi was fine and the free breakfast was in the onsite cafe. All in all, the room was great. Nearby, there are a couple of markets (and a huge electronics store), with town a 2-3 km walk and the railway station a bit closer.

Nice room but not properly cleaned. Location quite far from from main locations, but bus leaves in front of the hotel. Breakfast was okey.

Hotel o dobrym standardzie - czysto, komfortowo z klimatyzacją i codziennym sprzątaniem. Śniadania w postaci bufetu - całkiem OK, choć daleko do europejskiego standardu. Minusem była lokalizacja - daleko od centrum i tuż przy ruchliwej drodze i stacji benzynowej (w nocy koniecznie trzeba było zamykać okna).

Free upgrade upon arrival. Friendly and welcoming staff. Big room, comfortable bed and fast wifi, but a bit noisy from the road outside. The breakfast was nothing special. Close to some good restaurants, e.g. Toma's wine cellar.

I liked the upgrade from a standard to a deluxe room, and the room size was excellent. However it was a bit noisy with all the traffic outside. The carpet under the lounge table had some hairs in it, of a length I have never achieved... I was told breakfast would be from 9 to 11 a.m., but when I came down around 1015-1030 in the adjacent café, the staff had cleared almost everything away. They put a lot of stuff back, but apart from a good tasting yoghurt nothing really stood out. I always interpret a lot out of how a hotel's coffee tastes like. This morning I found out too late that the three spoons of sugar I put into my coffee weren't sugar at all. The blame falls on me for not spotting the shade difference between salt and sugar, but the salt stood in a small, open bowl right next to the coffee mug. Except from this minor annoyances, I slept very well, and found it to be worth the money.
