This was the worst experience. My room had roaches, the staff were unwilling to help I had to complain every day, take pictures and show them video and they finally changed my room at 7pm on my last night. Rooms were also not properly cleaned and had a mildew smell. Could not use swim up pool because it was too cold.

⸻ We were really excited for our October wedding at Royalton Negril. We were booked from October17 to the 21st but our experience was disappointing. Our reservation from July wasn’t honored due to overbooking, check-in took three hours, and we were placed far from our wedding group. We were put in the area called Diamond however we could not use any of their amenities because we didn’t pay. That was not our fault we were put there. The diamond area although nice was a long walk to where our wedding group were. The buffet the pool and everything were all at the other end My husband and I are both 76 years old. The staff didn’t want to hear anything we had to say. No compassion at all. Staff on the most part were rude. Beautiful resort, nice room, but the experience was not good. I will not recommend this resort to anyone.

⭐ 1 out of 5 stars Disappointing Experience at a Beautiful Resort We stayed at the Royalton Resort in Negril from October 17th to 21st for a wedding. The resort itself is beautiful — the rooms, the pool, and the grounds are all well kept and impressive. Unfortunately, the staff’s attitude completely ruined what could have been an amazing experience. Our check-in was a nightmare. The staff at the front desk seemed confused and unorganized. The first girl who started helping us said she’d be right back — and never returned. Then someone else took over but didn’t finish the process either. One of the front desk attendants, Monique, was especially rude, rolling her eyes and acting as if we were bothering her for simply checking in. After a long day of travel, this kind of treatment was unacceptable. No guest should be made to feel like a burden. It’s a shame because the property itself is lovely, but the service was so poor that I would not recommend this resort to anyone. I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I had to say something.

Room smell like mold and took them 2 days to clean it well, diamond upgrade only useful for dinner reservations. Beach is next ro nudists beach so consider this if tou have a family. For a 5 star resort expectations were really high and transportation to any place it is very expensive. Lots of sellers on the beach including drugs being offered to teenagers.

When we first arrived the check-in was horrible I got to the hotel at 2:45 didn’t get my room until 5pm. The service is super slow the workers are rude nothing like Montego Bay! They need to hire and need help! The buffet didn’t have much food options The restaurants it so hard to get a reservation on the app. When I first arrived to my room I didn’t have no Ac wasn’t working. The elevator was nasty they need to clean the mirrors and the walls of the elevator. My room was cleaned twice and they didn’t restock my fridge. The bar by the pool never restocked we have to go to another bar at the resort to get the drinks we wanted. Don’t stay here it’s not a good resort at all!!!!

Overall the stay was nice however service was definitely lacking in places. We checked in on wednesday and our minibar was never restocked until saturday. We had to call friday night for water bottles which room service never brought up. My husband called back and had to request it again and explained our minibar wasn't restocked after which they finally brought up 4 water bottles. Finally saturday morning they just came and dropped off more water but didnt restock the minibar with anything else. I also had called the concierge to bring me up tv batteries but that was never brought up either so for the 4 days we stayed we couldnt watch tv at all. then on our last day we asked for the bellboy to give us a ride to the main lobby with our luggages. He came my husband said we needed 2 more minutes to just close the suitcaes. So the bellboy left and never came back. After waiting 10 minutes we had to walk with 6 luggases a toddler and a stroller all the way from our room to the front lobby so our daughter can grab breakfast and we wont be late for our pick up. but like i said overall the stay was nice. Beach and activities were easiliy accessible. The wait staff was amazing and they had a good variety of food at the buffet.

The website did not tell us that it was their down season. Could not eat in any restaurant because each restaurant was only open 1 day a week and they all were booked. So we could only eat the buffet. They did not keep our refrigerator in the room filled with drinks as they said and it took them forever to clean up the dishes from outside our room when we ordered room service. Lastly, the room service options were extremely limited. Will not stay at Royalton ever again.

My room did overlook the pool and beach just a few problems I have alot of their restaurants are reservations only & sometimes you will end up forgetting during the day and you have to end up going to the buffet again or getting room service. Also I booked for 4 nights end up only doing 3 nights due to Jetblue making me miss my flight and I didn’t get any compensation back, no resort credit free massage nothing I also let them know it was my birthday in the reservations and I didn’t receive anything birthdayish. Other than that staff was amazing to me & my daughter.

This resort is definitely worth the money. It was just what me and my husband needed. Relaxing and quiet. It’s a place to bring your family. They have entertainment but it’s not an all night party which is what we were looking for. Our room was great nice and comfortable with the swim out pool. Amazing.

Unfortunately, When we were there, we purchased the diamond club and our Butler did nothing for us. Also room service never came and every time we asked for something they were out of it.
