We didn’t have running water in our room for 36 hours -with no acknowledgment of unacceptability nor any offer to locate working showers, sinks or toilets. This is a public health hazard.

A refund should be forthcoming as you were notified we were unable to be there owing to weather conditions & cancelled flight . Now you’re telling me YOU cannot contact the Accra hotel & provide a refund . Someone needs to do their job ! ASAP . This whole affair is making for a less than pleasant time away. Please rectify . Rooms in older areas are tired,had no hot water for 14 days….. should give 2 stars ,certainly not a 4 star resort as advertised,but the beach,location and most staff were wonderful……. Could be so much better though

The pool was the best part of our stay. Some staff were welcoming, but for the rest of the staff, they were not very friendly or engaging with people. The food was good to terrible. The drinks were terrible. The drinks were either overly sweet, to tasted like there was no alcohol in them, to very potent. The amount charged for the a la carte options were way too much for the quality in some dishes. The shrimp gumbo, the clt sandwich and the beef burger were the 3 things I liked. The coffee in the black and gold packaging was great, but the rest of the coffee in the restaurant and the other coffee that we had in our room was terrible. On a positive note, the large pool was a great asset, so close to the beach. The beach was AMAZING! The water was fantastic! The housekeeper we had for most of our stay was great. The housekeepers were all good too. We had a mini fridge in our room to store some leftovers and a few breakfast items, which was a bonus. On our last full day at the Accra, there was a manager's reception with free drinks of all sorts, which was also nice. But other than some highlights of our stay at Accra, I would never stay there again. They are apparently a 4 star hotel, but I would say it is more like a 2.5 star hotel.

The hotel is very nice and on a beatiful easily accesible beach (Rockley Beach). The staff are very nice and helpful. However, we were on the 3rd floor and there was a problem with the water pressure.There was no hot water and not enough water to take a shower, and sometimes to even flush the toilet. We heard from several guests that this had been going on for a while. Lucky for us the water came on after 3 days of washing in the ocean.

Room was freezing cold, battery on A/C controller was dead, there were NO BLANKETS on the bed, nor anywhere in the room. Had to sleep with a towel. The food at the bar was only just edible. The water pressure in the bathroom was so low that you could barely shower or wash hands.

We didn’t have hot water for most of our stay and some days no water at all. Shower curtain was too short so flooded the floor when we were able to shower. Bath fan didn’t work and one morning toilets wouldn’t flush even in the lobby very gross.Pool was very dirty and the restaurant was undesirable and over priced.

I paid for an ocean view room and they couldn’t provide me with one. They couldn’t lower my payment stating that YOU would have to adjust the price. I now have a room facing the street and listening to alive band next door:( What can you do for me ? I just woke up and have no water for showering.

First room : Aircon not working, 27C at night. Toilet did not flush, shower only a cold dribble. Second room : Nice suite with sea view. But safe broken had to be replaced. Door lock faulty, had to be let into the room by maintenance

This hotel had no hot water. It had been out at least a week, and was not due to be back on for at least another week. We were not told until arrival at check in, so had no opportunity to rebook. The hotel owners should not have allowed the place to be open. Guests with bookings should have been informed way ahead of check in.

Tired hotel. Demoralized staff very poor quality food. No hot water throughout stay. Lovely beach and great swimming. Good restaurants nearby. Unstable WiFi. To hotel’s credit they gave us 20% off due to water issue. Hotel needs a makeover.

The location is definitely the highlight. Being right on the beach is amazing, and the ocean views are beautiful. The beachfront access, on-site restaurants, and bar were very convenient, especially after a long day out. The hotel is also in a great area. There’s a mart, coffee spot, food options, and souvenir shops directly across the street, which made grabbing quick essentials easy. The popular Chefette is also a few steps away. That said, the hotel feels dated. I thought it wouldn’t bother me as much but I’m just used to better accommodations. While I understand that room photos don’t always perfectly match reality, our room was clearly advertised as having a balcony, including in the photos, and it turned out to be a faux balcony, with a flush railing with no space to sit or step outside, which was disappointing. And the front desk was no help with that. Additionally, the bathroom door wouldn’t lock, which was annoying. Overall, it’s nice enough if you plan to be out most of the day doing excursions and just need a place to sleep in a great location. However, if I return to Barbados, I would likely book one of the more updated hotels for a more comfortable stay.

Air conditioning was not working. And, no hot water. They were able to give us a fan, but room was still VERY hot. The hotel did take a very small amount off of our bill, but we really thought it was not enough. I would never recommend this hotel.
