I should have known when I had to sign a form that we would not be using glitter in the room that we were in for an interesting stay. Lol The room was ok, but paper thin walls may be too kind. You can hear everything through the walls. Every word spoken, the movie they were watching, EVERYTHING.

Great Latin but limited amenities

Rustic but clean. Great little town to walk around. Also took a walk down by the river. Seemed to be only be one staff person who was covering checking people into rooms as well as bartending. Perhaps she was feeling overwhelmed or having a bad day, but wasn’t particularly friendly.

Older but updated fixtures, furniture, etc

No breakfast.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was very small for 2 adults with 3 suitcases. The view of the river and mountains was wonderful. I am glad we did not select the courtyard view since the courtyard was a dark hallway between the individual unit entries on either side. Great place for the price. The heater was adequate for the 45 degrees from last night, but it may be weak on colder nights.

Friendly staff

Went to the town to take a flight tour and turned out cancelled. The hotel is okay considering the price. But the environment is less than a motel.

Small and yet functional room with clean bathroom. But unfortunately parking is not paved. So had a flat tire.

Wonderful quaint place to stay

Room was clean but hotel is very worn. No TV. Very little space for 2 people to store luggage. WiFi worked well. Great location in downtown Talkeetna and a view of Siustna River.

Pros: Heart of Talkeetna. Beside the river. Great receptionists. Helpful people Cons: Rooms were very very small. The roads around the cabins destroyed by rain and not properly maintained

If you want a true Talkeetna experience then stay here. Its very convenient for walking around mainstreet. We just needed somewhere to sleep and it met our needs. Definitely nothing fancy.

Rooms are not worth the money

Convenient location, staff was friendly

The whole place felt sort of off. I was expecting a cute little cabin type place but in reality it felt more like a prefabricated home stuck together one after another. The walls were paper thin, the room was dated and I was told I could not control the temperature in the room, that the owner was the only one allowed to touch the controls. The “Front Desk” was a woman with a folder full of papers in a large room resembling a storefront but with absolutely no charm or warmth to it whatsoever. Nothing about this place was invitingly or even friendly. Skip it

In town close to restaurants. Clean and quiet

The property is located next to a river. Decent price, pleasant staff. The food options next door are limited. Good restaurants are located couple of blocks downstreet.

The hotel was within walking distance of downtown, but it was quiet. (We didn't hear the band playing in the downtown park.) The hotel provided coffee in the lobby, but no formal breakfast. There was a bar and the Batman was kind enough to provide ice. Our room was small, but adequate.
