Stayed in the shared 4-woman dorm room. Positives: -Very easy check in process and keypad to get in and out -Person in the office was super pleasant -There was an easily accessible plug -Relatively cheap given closeness to downtown Negatives: - I was on top bunk and had nowhere to put my stuff as all available space was taken up - Bed was fairly shaky so getting in and out very much disrupted person under me - Sink was *in the room itself* and not in the bathroom, making it really hard to privately brush your teeth or wash your hands in the middle of the night after using the washroom -There was tons of activity on the streets outside (e.g. sirens, unhoused folks, nightlife) and you could hear absolutely all of it. All in all, while the check-in service and price was right, I wouldn't stay again. I actually left as soon as things were open in the morning and went to a local YMCA to get a shower. I know it says soundproofed online and private bathroom, but I don't think these are entirely accurate based on my experience. I will say that the guests in my room seemed very respectful, which was nice.

Nice shops around the hotel, in walking distance from many things. No front desk so everything is done by email, but once sorted it’s very convenient

Stayed in City Studio with my partner and we had a mostly comfortable stay. We know it’s a historic building and despite a few minor inconveniences, it was overall really lovely. The location is very convenient, and while yes, there are unhoused people and drug users around the area we at no point felt unsafe. It was pretty quiet most of the time despite us being just 1 floor above street level. There was one night where we were kept up by someone throwing stuff and screaming outside, we felt safe and secure in our room. We did have a snack in our room leftover for a day and immediately found some ants, but after tidying up they were gone and it wasn’t an issue again. A few things that would have made our stay a little more comfortable: - the soap products provided are clearly rarely used, and need to be emptied and cleaned out. I can see the layering of the change in product like sedimentary rock! - a “do not disturb/please make up room” sign for the private rooms would be great. I had to let a staff member know daily that we did not require housekeeping - the rug in our room looked very old and stained, so we wore slippers inside at all times as a precaution. Maybe consider washable rugs or removing them to make cleaning easier. - the rugs in the hallways are a tripping hazard and you can’t roll a suitcase over them, it might be better to remove Overall it was a fair price for our time, and all our interactions with the staff were good! Thanks for having us!

Don’t expect much. This isn’t a luxury hotel. Also paid parking is required constantly in the area.

I expected some discomfort because of its price, but it was so uncomfortable to stay night. Fan of air-conditioning is so loud; I couldn't sleep very well. Air quality is so bad because there is no ventilation. Location of this Dorm is also not great. Only good thing is that it is in the downtown area.

For the price of the stay, it's good for the price, the mattresses are thin foam and the pillow was thin and lumpy, the shower looked gross, and the rooms were kind of dusty, but there were enough plugs, a microwave and a mini fridge, the soundproofing is good, I didnt hear other rooms, didn't see any signs of bedbugs, the rooms were pretty secure, although fair warning the pictures show safes, and there were none in my room so I'm not sure if they're in all the rooms. But it's a super convenient location to spend the night, especially if you're catching an early flight. You get what you pay for here, for better or for worse

For the price in Toronto it was not too bad. Lack of parking was an issue. The host did not know where the parking lots were or how to pay for overnight parking. We received an address for public parking and had to find for ourselves. Room very small and had glass walls for bathroom. Located right on Queen st. The entrance was a door in the wall with zero signage and the room was located upstairs on top of A&W

For the price this was a great little spot for the night. Room was cozy, had everything I needed for a one or two night stay and the location was pretty good. It was a bit of a hike to get down to the Scotiabank place where I was going but walking along Queen St was so much fun with so much to see that it was well worth it! Will definitely stay here again!

This is a good and convenient place to stay at for the short term whenever people need to visit Toronto and find a budget-friendly place to stay.

Good price for Toronto. I booked a private room, but there are dorms available as well. Clean room, unique decor… mine was very dark wallpaper, that was unexpected, but not in a bad way. It’s located on Queen W, which has a weird mixture of bars, Cannabis shops, and barbershops around it. I didn’t feel unsafe in the area, but some might. This is probably more suited for a younger demographic. There’s no front desk, in fact, I never saw a staff member during my stay… you get a code for the door and your room after an online check in, and that’s it… I’ve run into the same in Europe a couple of times now… not sure how I feel about it yet. Would I stay again? Maybe, if I can’t find anything more central for a reasonable price in the future. Overall a good stay.
