We really enjoyed our stay at the Avalorm hotel, and are grateful to have had a chance to stay in a Japanese room before the hotel closed. Location was perfect for our needs and we appreciated the experience. Many thanks from Canadian fans.

Wonderful friendly and extremely helpful staff! I would definitely stay again when in Wakayama . The hotel is well located to the park and Castle.

Pro: good location as I am driving. Room is spacious. Con: sunrise is early and room is bright as this is a jap style room.

Close to Wakayama Castle which is worth visiting. Stayed in Japanese style room which was beautifully maintained, large and extremely comfortable (at least for me). Hotel procedure a little old-style but in a good way (eg. you get a physical key instead of an access card) but this is a little more common in areas away from big urban centers such as Osaka or Tokyo
