Great stop for us on the way up.to Scotland, but also looks a great location for a golf break.

Brilliant location for our Dalesway walk and staff were just brilliant as our time changed a couple of times during the days walking meaning we were later than expected but staff dealt with brilliantly and always with a smile

Clean and comfortable. Made very welcome. Shower is lovely. Room was very warm even with radiator turned down, as I was on ground floor couldn't really have windows open at night. Bit disappopinted milk and bottled water not replenished or bin emptied.

Nice clean room, quiet location on the edge of the town. One thing though, the room I booked said countryside views? I think it would be fairer to say countryside location, there was no view, apart from the carpark.

This was a great place to stay. It was a bit far away from the city center. The room was very nice,, and we would stay here again but definitely better for stays related to events at the site or playing golf than a pass through see Kendal location

Overall very good experience - the hotel, the rooms, cleanliness, staff, value for money, check in, check out, standard of rooms and facilities - All excellent. Except that there is cow dung smell when you open windows because of the farms and animals in the nearby houses, sheds etc. I understand its not related to hotel, but just rural locality. So i would still rate the hotel and stay as excellent.

The room was immaculate, clean and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was tip top! We shall DEFINITELY stay again! The only drawback is that it’s too far to walk to town but there are plenty of taxis approx £6.. Unfortunately their restaurant wasn’t open as it was a week day but their recommendation of Bangkok 7 Thai restaurant was spot on and a “Must go” place to eat- it was superb!

Beautifully appointed lodge room situated on the edge of a golf complex approx 30 minute walk from Kendal. We stayed in Dalesway, lodge 2. Lovely fresh linen and very comfortable bed. Nice selection of complimentary toiletries in a luxury bathroom with both a bath and huge walk in shower. The main bedroom was a bit small with no room for open cases so probably best for an overnight or weekend stay. Note also that rooms are not serviced daily. The breakfasts here are amazing, full English, sourdough with eggs benedict, salmon or avocado. Decent coffee too. Staff here are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Check in was seamless but I would recommend arriving during their office hours. Our only criticism was that the room was advertised with a restaurant but in reality it’s a B&B as the dinner choice is very limited (basically the breakfast plus one main and one veg option). Also it closes really early by comparison.

We arrived late and the restaurant was closed for maintenance. Shelley went the extra mile to help us find a wonderful restaurant after 9pm.
