The hotel was generally clean and staff friendly however it lacked some of the facilities you would expect at its price point. For example, there was no in room Tea and Coffee making facilities; rather there was a station located in a common landing up 20 stairs from our room. Meaning you had to dress before an early morning cuppa and you were reluctant to have a late night drink for fear of disturbing other guest. Additionally, we were only give a second remote needed to switch on the the TV after having to call reception twice. Breakfast was very good with nice produce freshly made. Unfortunately the same could not be said for the evening meal. The deconstructed Cullen Skink simply didn't work and my wife's main fish dish was cold and had to be sent back. My food was not taken back meaning that we effectively did not eat together. We had booked dinner on the second night of our stay but cancelled because of our first night experience.

This hotel is phenomenal. I don’t say that lightly, I’ve stayed at many unique , great hotels, but Links House is truly above them all. The service, the comfort of the quality bedding and linens, the wonderful breakfast that is offered to all guests to mention a few were exceptional. The location is perfect if you’re interested in golfing Royal Dornoch or visiting a quaint village in the Highlands. I highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful Hotel. Kyle, Isla and team very welcoming. Easy walking distance to the beach and town centre. Perfect for heading into the highlands for fishing etc. Drawing room and library nice to relax in and the menu and food was first class. Look forward to visiting again.

This is one of those special places that is worth the trek. Once you step foot into the front door it feels as if you’ve stepped back into a different time. The finishes are all rich and appropriate and the town itself is adorable. Service is outstanding, bed was delicious and would go out of my way to stay here again!! True luxe on a small scale! A bit difficult to find which bldg to check in so ask for clear directions prior to check in.

Hotel rates normally too expensive for us but due to Hotels.com silver members offer was able to enjoy an amazing overnight stopover. Complementary in room welcome cocktail, shortbread and chocolates, lovely touch. Everything about this accommodation was to the highest of standards including staff. Will always check room availability when making future trips in area.
