My two daughters stayed at the Colonial Palace in León, Spain, while walking the Camino, and they were absolutely amazed by their experience. After more than three weeks on the trail, this stay was exactly what they needed. The room was beautiful, spotless, and felt incredibly luxurious. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout their stay. The food was outstanding, and every detail seemed thoughtfully done. What stood out most was the bed—both of them said it was probably the most comfortable bed they have ever slept in. After weeks of walking, being able to sink into such a comfortable bed was a real treat. They also loved the shower, especially the large showerhead that provided full coverage and felt truly refreshing after long days on the Camino. Overall, their experience was exceptional. From the accommodations and staff to the food and comfort, everything exceeded their expectations. They would highly recommend staying here and would gladly return in the future.

Beautiful property

Beautiful boutique hotel and my suite was lovely and well appointed. Precisely the respite I needed after 260 miles on the Camino. The staff were helpful and friendly and even the breakfast was delicious. I would stay here again.

Easy to find, but hotel has a small marquee so easy to overlook. Entrance to public parking garage is directly across the street. Easy walk into town.

A nice modern comfortable place in the heart of Leon. Few but sacios rooms, at a reasonable price.

Great location

Very personable staff in a great location. The room on the third floor with a balcony made our stay particularly memorable. The building restoration and details in the decor also set it apart. Parking is worth investigating in advance as it is in a parade with tricky entrance.

This is a lovely hotel, in a beautiful, convenient location. We had a room on the street side, and it was a bit noisy all night. The room was great, otherwise. We had a little trouble getting in - there isn't an open lobby, and you had to ring the bell at the door to get in. Obvious to some, but not us!

Great location between the train station and the old town centre. Newly refurbished with comfortable rooms. Could have been more informative at check-in about having to book breakfast the night before.

Had to find a night’s accommodation in Leon before an early train. The Colonial Palce was 10 minutes walk from the station, took my bags at 10am and put them in my room when available, checked me in then and when I got back at 7pm couldn’t be more helpful. I have poor Spanish but Eva had excellent English and was very clear about how to get out of the hotel early the next morning. This is a boutique hotel, with anbout 12 big rooms, and deserves that title. The room was very comfortable, the shower fabulous, the bed massive and the TV and hair dryer were high end. Sadly I had to leave before breakfast. All in all a whirlwind, but exceptionally pleasurable, stay. I would certainly come back.

This property is 10/10 for a reason. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel and you are made to feel special even if you stay for 1 night. I wish I had longer. I would highly recommend this property. The location is easy. I arrived by train and it was a short easy walk from the station. The hotel is so quiet and so peaceful. It’s just as easy to walk into the old town as it was from the station, to explore and wonder the cobbled streets. The bed is comfy. The room is spacious. A real gem of a hotel. The staff were so so helpful. Thank you all.
