I stayed for a night for the experience and while it was expensive, I did regret not staying for at least another night. The machiya was clean and well maintained even though it was around a hundred years old. Walking around the surrounding area was a nice peaceful escape from the crowded tourist spots and there are good food options around as well. My recommendation is a ramen restaurant called NEW Taihou on the main street.

Local living experience. Very strategic location. Quiet area. Spacious room. Complete facilities. Can accommodate 4 people. With 2 bathrooms. Very satisfying
