Spacious and clean rooms, well equipped for a relaxing stay. Lovely views of the bay from the top floor restaurant. Wide selection of food for breakfast, eggs can be made to order. Dinner was a decent meal and reasonably priced given the location. There is a shuttle bus to and from the airport which is free. Need to book with reception the night prior to departing. The two larger supermarkets are about a 5 min walk from the hotel. Also an easy 10-15 min walk to the icefjord center.

Walking into our room we were greeted with a floor to ceiling window looking out over the town and the iceburg filled sea beyond. Exceptional.

We stayed for 4 nights at Best Western Inn Plus to explore Ilulissat. The positives - (a) hotel is located centrally and close to supermarkets and restaurants, (b) staff at the reception were nice and helpful. Biggest negative is the service at the restaurant. The staff make no attempt to accommodate vegetarians despite the fact that their website lists multiple options on the menu. They take a dinner reservation at 8:30 pm but majority of the menu options are not served and kitchen closes at 9 pm which they don’t mention when taking the order. The restaurant manager (Erin) was too busy and doesn’t even offer bread. The breakfast experience was even worse. One of the staff members (Jasmine) was super rude and bluntly says “you need to leave” just few minutes past 10 am. If you don’t allow customers to sit in the restaurant beyond 10 am then don’t allow them in at 9:55 am. Finally, they packed to-go breakfast one of the days with ham despite multiple confirmations that we are vegetarian.

Excellent staff and service. Gorgeous balcony views next to restaurant. Check out time is an issue, should be 11am and not 10am. Food is average.

Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet was bountiful and tasty. In heart of town so dining, shopping, and tour meeting spots all with in a 7 minute walk. Easy to get taxis if you want to eat at one of the high-end hotels on the outskirts of town. 15 min walk to icefjords, excellent hiking, sled dog area, and ice fjord museum.

Room is small and really expensive. Like the included breakfast, especially the local delicacy section.

This hotel has a good location and rooftop terrace for both seeing the northern lights (at the right time of year) and looking out over Disko bay. The room was large, clean and had a modern shower. Oddly there are no rooms in this hotel which come with a double bed, and the two single beds provided are comfortable but very narrow (90cm). You can push the beds together (we noticed when walking past rooms others have done the same) which should be sending a message to the hotel that bed configurations need to be changed. Breakfast was excellent however we did not eat here in the evening as none of the meals on offer where vegetarian.

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days due to the fact that my flight was cancelled and we were stuck for an additional 5 days waiting for the next available flight. I ended up having 3 different rooms because it was booked up and I kept having to extend. The first room was subpar. It was tiny, stuffy, and looked out over the entrance to the lobby. I heard every shuttle drop off passengers. I had to open the window because it was too warm and then had to shut it again because the mosquitoes came in. I never could get comfortable there. The second room on the fourth floor was lovely. It was an executive room and almost twice the size of my first room. It overlooked the water. My third room was nice, too; not as nice as the second, but almost as nice. It overlooked the water and was a good size. Ask for an executive room overlooking the water. The breakfast is expansive, and the food in the restaurant is good for lunch and dinner. The service is mediocre, but that seems the norm for this town. Some of the desk clerks are nicer than others, but generally acceptable. The workout room is very small with a decent array of weights and a good treadmill; but I can't imagine more than one person can work out at one time. The location of the hotel is the best; it's in the center of everything.
