Great simple stay centrally located and close to the beach!

Great hotel located by the beach and close to many restaurants and shopping. Staff was great and cleaned every day and the property was very well kept.

We arrived at the hotel after paying only to find out they overbooked and made us take a 50 minute taxi to a different property and gave us a worse room than we paid for.

Power was out throughout the country. Difficult to review.

Lovely hotel by the beach with highly professional staff. Room was very comfy and since we were there on Easter, we got a lovely delivery of chocolates at our door! They provide every amenity that can be anticipated. Unfortunately, since it is near a working port, they can only do so much about the view out the window, which in my case was a lot of cargo boxes and a cruise ship. Otherwise, location is great for enjoying all the sweet little seafood restaurants nearby.

Overall good experience! Having parking would have made it 10/10

Well appointed hotel, excellent breakfast and very calm. We had the swimming pool and spa to ourselves, it was just a little annoying that it didn't open on time.

Firstly, the staff were very pleasant. A disappointment was being told that I couldn’t use the pool without wearing a swimming cap. This is the first time I have ever encountered this and consequently didn’t use the pool. Sat near the pool on the last day. Totally deserted. Massively under-utilised area.

Great location for Matosinhos beach and the "seafood street", short walk from the Matosinhos Sul metro stop. Pool and spa facilities were great, room was excellent. Really nothing I could fault or offer to improve, and at a good price

Very nice hotel, very good room, only they portret a fastastic swimming pool that only opens at 11 am ... so no chance in a swim... do not know why this is. other negative point is the parking, it is under the hotel but when you arrive you can not go up, you must check in first, and also for payment you can not do this at the reception, and need to pay cash at the machine in the garage, no credit card accepted, i find these 2 issue negative for this hotel, especially if the swimming pool is their visit card. for the rest the hotel is ok.

Many restaurants right by the hotel. Beach is a few minutes away. Very clean. Front desk was helpful.

Great service, this is the best welcoming I’ve ever had, the staff was so nice and friendly, the buffet was super variable and tasty and even have a local delicacy section, rooms were super clean and the mattress was spectacular, we slept like royalty, near to the beach and the two best restaurants in the area, just 2 min from the bus stop to Porto and also the yellow line tour bus crosses in front of the hotel.

I booked this hotel to culminate my Camino de Santiago hike. I was hoping to finally relax, rejuvenate and get a massage before heading home. When I got to the room, I discovered I was assigned a wheelchair accessible room. I am clearly not disabled. I was not informed of this assignment, so I was genuinely surprised when I walked in the room. It seemed a bit underhanded. It was later explained to me that they were completely booked, and they were sorry. I was in high spirits after the Camino, so I tried to be positive. I got really annoyed though, trying to take a shower. Because this was a wheelchair accessible room, the shower was a handheld only, holder mounted at waist level, so there was no way to stand under the shower, and there was nothing to prevent water from splashing, so water spilled ALL over the ENTIRE bathroom floor, constituting a major slipping hazard. This really put a damper on my stay. I reserved and paid for a room 3 months in advance, and I checked in fairly early in the day. It’s not like I rolled in at midnight without a reservation, so I don’t understand why my accommodation was downgraded. Next morning when checking out, I was told I should have said something, and they would have found me a better room. Seriously?! You said you were completely booked up! That made me really angry. This was the most expensive hotel out of 5 that I booked on my entire trip to Portugal and Spain, and this was the only disappointing experience I’ve had.
