We paid $160 for a family of 4. The room was okay and breakfast was good. But the hotel turned off the hot water in the morning for some reason and even after asking them to turn it back on, the water was ice cold and we were never able to take a hot shower.

Although hidden away it is a restful collection of cottages and main bar / restaurant. The staff were excellent and the kids loved it so much that they want to go back

Rooms and common areas were not well maintained. There is a church next door that blasts music for approximately 2-3 hrs a night ... unable to just relax by the pool with the noise next door.

We knew we were going to be late arriving, and tried to call the hotel to alert them. No answer. When we got into Arusha, we had to ask a half dozen people before we found someone who knew where it was located. He went with us there, because there was no way to describe how to get there. The rooms were generally comfortable, but housekeeping didn't clean it until we checked out. Bathroom was substandard to us, with no towel racks anywhere in the room. Now that we know where it is, we might stay there again. But we'd probably choose something else that is alongside a major road.

We really enjoyed our one night stay here. Beautiful gem tucked away from the busy road/markets. Room was large, clean, and nicely decorated. Breakfast was good. Grounds were well kept, green and tranquil. No AC in the room but wasn't necessary as it was cool on its own. Would recommend this place.

Arrived in the middle of the night and were greeted by the owner. His staff made sure we settled well and had a hot meal. About the only dog friendly hotel in Arusha. Our pet had the run of the place, felt at home right away. Very happy with our choice.

Nice hotel away from the very busy and crowded city center. My room was not heated, so it got chilly at night, and I was near the road, so there was some noise once the locals started getting up in the morning. But, the shower was hot, and the breakfast was good. The staff was quite accommodating even with my post-midnight arrival.

Most of the rooms are in small thatched huts on very nice but not fancy compound. It is located a ways from from the center of town. No other places to eat nearby but the evening meal at the lodge was good. Place is not fancy but has a very local feel - not just another big concrete block of a hotel.

Wonderful hotel, great staff, everyone was really friendly and helpful. Stayed here on and off for nearly 3 weeks, and would definitely recommend it. Rooms were cute little round bungalows with thatched roofs. A little bit cold at this time of year, but there were plenty of blankets and hot water.

Great place to relax after safari. A little outside of town, but it's on beautiful grounds with a good restaurant and pool.

From the moment we arrived until we left the staff were very courteous and helpful. The rooms are simple but very comfortable. They say there is no wifi in the rooms but on both occasions we were in rooms close enough to the main reception and we streamed video's on you tube without any problem. (room 17 and 19) Room cleaning service was offered every day and the breakfast was great each morning. My only complaint and this won't affect many is that the menu is limited for lunch and dinner. We stayed a total of 9 days (before and after a safari) and the menu was not enough. The hotel dog is super friendly. Taxi from Arusha airport is $20 U.S.

We had a wonderful stay at L'Oasis. I was a little nervous after reading reviews about the town being loud, etc., but we slept very well each night, not bothered by any noise. Beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms/beds w/ good mosquito nets, nice pool area, very good service from everyone. They did laundry day of (a little pricier than I'd expect, but worth it). Credit card machine was intermittently out (as with seemingly everywhere in Tanzania). Good hot water. Only caveat is that the road to get there is VERY bad (dirt/holes/uneven) -- ie I'd be scared to drive it if renting a car or if you have a very weak stomach might make you a bit sick, but not a big deal otherwise. Overall, very satisfied and would gladly stay there again!

The road to the hotel is quite scary, kind of off-road, but that's a general thing in Tanzania. The place itself is great - very nice bungalows, clean and well fitted, food at the restaurant incredible (mind you, not the breakfast ;) ). Highly recommend this logging, as it was one of the best we found in our Tanzanian trip.

The staff was very helpful. We had extra days in Arusha before our safari began and the staff made suggestions and helped us fill our time. The food was very good, rooms clean and very nice breakfast. The pool was always open and you could have lunch poolside if you prefered. The lounge was very nice and had a nice flatscreen for everyone to enjoy.I would rate this an overall good valur for the money.
